Well, I pulled some stock bolts from a car and the threads were pretty much corroded and gone.
If you are doing all this work, might as well use the ARP head bolts/studs.
OR at least buy new ones from Toyota...I guess.

I don't think mine will be quite that bad but yea I was thinking at the very least, stock replacement.

Got the rod bolts the other day (thanks 89mkthree!!)
Still waiting on the pistons should ship at the end of the month, oil pump is on the way (thanks to IJ) and gonna buy a mhg from him also.

They're supposed to be, I thought if they were a different compression ratio they would be shaped differently though. Is that assumption wrong?
JaV: Comes down to dish volume, 8.5:1's are a 19cc dish from memory!

Wow! Ill probably order some "spare" stuff from you when I start rebuilding... No ned to clean em!
