Thanks for the updates Ron, Your work is truly inspiring. It will be nice to have such a showcase worthy 2J in the ma70 community, or should I say, ma80.. I knew you were up to something when you joined thesupraforums... ;)

OMF GOD! first time I saw this thread. Got monster chub poking through my underoos!!! Don't know how anyone could critisize a swap like this. A supra's a supra! And this one will make the world stand on end!!! You my good sir are as motivating as an 8-ball and a cheerleading squad! Once this project is done I'll actually come out to SILV just to see this one alone! Shit.......

I may also put a pop-off valve on the intake manifold, not sure yet. Ron.
Overboost protection I assume? The vacuum regulator, does it have to be plumbed with a vacuum line or is it a self contained unit? Also, do you ditch the catch can setup? I've been told about vacuum valves, but I've never seen one so I'm very interested. I've been told (by a friend that used one; ie first hand info) that gains of 30 hp are common. In fairness, he was running 12.5:1 CR, so I'm sure that caused more blow by, but turbo's do increase the CR, too.

Will you share what the valve cost you?

Thanks for the comments guys. Mark, the valve is a standalone unit. The dry sump oil pump is also the vacuum pump in this setup. The vacuum valve is of course adjustable to limit the vacuum to the optimum setting. It just leaks when it reaches the desired vacuum (like the pop-off valve for pressure)
You also don't want to run too much vacuum because it will cause oil starvation on the wrist pins that are not oil fed, my 7m had pressurized oil to the wrist pins via rifle drill through the rod beam, I have not seen this on any other rods, especially H-beams. The valve is ~120 dollars but there are cheaper simpler looking ones from Moroso.

LOL, That settles it, more boost. I don't understand enough about it not to screw something up. :biglaugh:

ron can you do me some clearer more detailed shots of the porting please i would appreciate it as everyones stage 3 is different and wanted to see how it compares to mine that i did :)

Well I don't know if I can with my camera. But I'll try.
I know I could have done this also but didn't wanna chance it with my only cylinder head. I trust the guy that did this and he actually said this is actually almost like a stage 4 but not quite. He knows the car is going to be street driven and he ported this without sacrificing that. I also had the head flow benched and he will mail me the numbers soon. Ron

Damn Ron, that's the nice porting job I've ever seen.

Thanks. The guy also tapers the ends of the valve guides. I will be taking it apart as soon as I get the right valve spring compressor. I might lap it also and definitely clean some areas for better oil drainage.
