On Macro you'll need to move the camera back and forth a bit to get it into it's happy range Josh!
How are you coming now Josh? Have you cleaned the block enough to paint?
Note, I saw his finger a few hours after his incident. He's lucky he didn't have to carry it to the ER in a ziplock baggy.

And in true Mk3 rebuild fashion the baggie would be marked where the finger came from ie: which hand and what ever other important details there are concerning it

My toe wasn't near as bad as his finger, but I still have a nice 2" long scab on the side none the less.
Josh was at my place until 2am I believe. I took a lot more time than expected to get the motor stripped. In effort to get him on his way, we put the bolts in nice little piles beside the components instead of taking even more time doing an inventory.
All went well, I placed all of the bolts in a piece of cardboard & marked their locations with a felt tip marker. A few days later I found them laying on the floor of my garage. My 6 yo son decided to punch them out from the back. :cry:
No problem, I have two motor's worth of bolts & my oldest son & I spent hours in front of a parts washer scrubbing them to perfection.

I had 3 motors worth of bolts and NFI where they all came from so I just used another Virgin 7M as a sort of 3d TRSM.

hahaha thats great i can imagine him just pushing em out. mark's using his boy to clean his car. i shouulldd be getting the hg today, and the head and manifolds WILL be on tonight. Goal is car running this weekend, well see.

finger looking good it sealed up finally after me busting it open so many times. well my plan got fucked up a bit. UPS and Titan messed up my order big time and i should have gotten my hg a week ago. Well according to UPS i will be getting it tomorrow so we shall see how that goes. If i acuatlly get the gasket engine will be going in on saturday.
Whats your all opioins on valve covers? Mine are semi-polished at the moment, but they just get covered with crap after a week. I was thinking about painting them, Black,silver,red. whats your opiooions? I have alot more crap cleaned up and its looking pretty good considering my lack of time.

haha i would, but thats not in the budget this time around. ill get to that at some point. finally got the hg today and look for updates late tonight
well i got the hg, head and other misc shit is now installed. engine will be in the car tomorrow. Look for some major updates soon, ive been falling behind on uploading new pictures

car should be running in the next day or two, still got tons of little crap to do.
the timing belt cover will be going back on, so thats why the cam gears are ass ugly. and the valve covers are going to be re cleaned, everything got quite dirty from putting the engine in.I think thats everthing that there is to make fun of.
