I don't think so.

Can you remove the lock nut, it does the shaft just spin as well?

If you can remove it, remove it and then use a non-lock nut. Tighten THAT down and then you can put the lock nut on top of the standard nut. The standard nut tightened down should prevent the shaft from spinning.

oh dude, that is down far enough. It's not going to come off.. and yes that is a nylock nut. See how it is crimped on top? There is a piece of nylon inside so it makes the nut grip the shaft.

That should be safe to drive over here if you want to use my tool.
