Might settle a lil more

Yea, those pics were before I drove it around a bit. It actually settled some already, it looks lower than in those pics...and keep in mind that I have only done the back, the fronts are tomorrow, and I'm gonna have my rotors resurfaced while I'm there. Maybe Matt will come help? :dunno:

I still don't know what to do about the stripped shockmount...I think I'll take it to the mechanic and have them hit it with an impact gun...cause it is tapping a lot when I go over bumps. :(

You crossthreaded the shock shaft?

I have a snap on 18v cordless impact wrench.

oo oo ooo... I need that :)...and I didn't crossthread it, the shaft has a notch cut in it, and the upper shockmount has the same notch in it, so that you can tighten the nut on the shock's shaft, and somehow, the shaft turned with the nut, and rounded out the hole...With an impact wrench, I think it can be tightened though.

you can use a pair of vice grips to hold the shaft so it doesn't spin. Just make sure you move the bump stop down, and clamp it on the very top where you are sure that part does not go into the shock.

Hmm...I don't have any vice grips, and I tried that already...I cut a slit in a vacuum hose, and put it around the shaft, and used some channellocks with a rag double folded over the jaws...and the shaft would just turn with the nut.

you need to use a vise-grip right on the shaft. No protection.
