Ohhhhhh i see what you mean. Yea. Its too much for the guy thats painting it. He is good to do this but he is not a body shop, Just a repair shop. He can do a fender or bumper. He does it when he has to fix a car thats been hit. But he cant paint a whole car or do thay kind of work. Neet idea tho.!

He will be all done tuesday. It was black and cleared thursday night, He is going to to the back bumper friday, and let it all sit over the weekend. Then its all back together monday and I can get it tuesday :).

Then I have to talk Ideal into a trip to tampa to finish the tune...

Well, I hate when people cut the grill and dont do it right, and it sags and looks like sit... The grill is there for a reason, so if you cut it out, you have to support/strengthen the bottom lip or it looks trashy... So yeah, a good body man is in order there... As for the plate holder, I just wish they made a bumper with out it... It looks so clean when its smooted over...

Yea I know what you mean. My 89 was broken, and it saged terrible. I have a replacement for it. Got it from IDEAL a long time ago. I dont even remember what bumper it is. Its not the stock one. Its sitting waiting for us to finish the engine.

how hard is it to take the front bumper and the nose off?

Good question.. this one was a PAIN.. the few bolts that were still there were rusted on.. Putting it back on was easy, plus he added like 40 bolts that were missing.

Be carefull with the top part. Where the emblem is. That thing is hollow and the ends the bolts connect to felt like they wanted to come off. So gentle.

Funny,. I actually talked to IdealSupra about that right before it happened. I am trying not to spend any more money on the Auto so I can get the 5 Speed done.

We did finally get time to finish the tune on friday. Everything seems to be running quite strong. I have to get the R12 back into the AC system. (we have aquired a 30lb bottle of the stuff! ) and I did get the last part in a week or so ago. been sick so I have not gotten it installed.

Here is a pic.

Yay for progress!!!!!!!!!!! Any more news on the 5 speed??????

5 Speed plan. is currently to get the engine started in the next month or 2. Keep looking for a good shell to put it in. I still have the 89 it was in, but I hope to find a better body to use. Its going to be a slow build. it could take 6 months to a year to finish. It depends on a few things.

1. Money.. ! haha
2. Finding a shell to use
3. Having time to deal with it.

Until then the auto is alot of fun to drive, the 5speed will be more of a weekend car.
