So did we get the car last night John?

No. :( Gonna go tonight. Its about an 1.5 hours to get there and it was 10pm. so I did not want to drive home that late with the wife following me. Besides it gave him an extra day to tune a little more. So I am going there today. I am going to try and get there arround 5pm. I have the cooleez accordian replacement with me so we will put that on when I get there. Then its all done. We are gonna have to use the old pillar pod from my 5speed for now till we figure out a better idea. So I have to bring that to.

Ok. the 90 Auto has been picked up. :) Just a few little things to do, plus paint and its done. Gonna install the springs I bought for it on tuesday to get it a little lower. Have to figure a way to mount the 2 Gauges (not a pillar pod, dont like em) I install the Radio/DVD/Gps tomorrow am before it gets to hot outside. Gotta thank IdealSupra for all the hard work :) It really turned out nice! and I bet he is happy to have it gone! haha! I will post lots of pics tomorrow after I get the radio in.

Well the 1990 Supra Turbo has been picked up. I drove to Orlando on Sunday about 5pm. When I got there IdealSupra was in the driver seat upside down saying something I could not understand. He did a great job getting it all together! After finding the cracked block and having to drive to Miami to get one. I know he is glad it is gone. But it will be back soon to get tuned. But that’s not as bad as taking the engine out.
We have to get creative with the Boost Gauge / Controller and the AEM WB Gauge. I HATE the pillar pod so we are thinking. I installed the GPS/DVD/Radio/Ipod Controller today took about 2 hours. The hard part is getting all the mess of wires to fit behind the thing. But its in. Now I will always find my house!?!?
Now it needs a nice day of tuning and little fixes here and there, Nothing big. First thing Tuesday is get the AC converted and charged! IT SUCKED with no AC in the 90+ heat. But it was still fun.
Light driving with little or no boosting till the tune is done.
My driveway looks like a Supra Grave yard. Here are some pics of everything.

The close one everyone has seen. Its the 89 5speed with no engine, Thats the big build that has started but we paused for the 90 DD. :)
The red 89 auto in this pic is my fathers supra. He let me borrow it when I got the BHG almost 7 or 8 months ago? He gets it back tomorrow .
The DD 90 Turbo automatic is in the back

Here is a good engine shot of the 90 . I dont understand why people cut the cam gear cover? anyway its what we had I think it looks worse.

After the Radio/GPS install (that was a PAIN!) The plug in the lighter adapter is to power the GPS unit. I got hot and did not want to tap the wires for it so I used what it came with. I will move them another day. After 2 hours in the 90+ heat with no wind I was DONE! The black ball next to the lighter is the IR reciever for the GPS remote. I will most likely move that to. Its long enough to put it in the back seat so I will find a place for it.

Needs paint. I switched the targa from my 89 :) The 90 Targa looked like the hood here. It will all get painted soon I hope.

This is the intercooler block off plate I got from SupraSport.com Its cool and has a mirror finish protected with that white film. However for the life of me I CAN NOT get it installed. Ideal tried for a bit too and it just does not want to go on. So if anyone knows the trick to this please let me know.!
Also there is the accordian hose replacement and the walbro fuel pump that needs to go in.

That should about do it. I have the Cooleeze accordian hose replacement to get installed. And some springs to lower it a tad. The antena does not work even tho I hear it trying . So I will start looking for one. All in all its a great daily driver. Soon as we have time to tune it up its gonna be fun to take to work every day.

Haha yea.. there is allways something to do. This stuff is not really more tho. It was allways on the list. :)

yep get all the small things done. i would have taken care of them but i know all you wanted was for it to be driveable for now so you could give your dads car back ;)

get your guy there to do the small things that i wasnt able to get to and then bring it back and ill finish it up with a nice tune and turn up the boost a bit and add on some small things. if he doesnt want to do the fuel pump i can do that also.

just like you said...normal driving on it until we get that pump in and it all tuned up.

enjoy!

Ok. Little update. The Hood is going to be changed with the one from the 89. Its better looking and my painter is busy so it could be some time before he can paint the entire car. The walbro pump is on. The Cooleeze pipe is on. So all thats left it a tune session and the engine work is done! I still cant get that damn intercooler block off plate installed. But now its been raining for a day and a 1/2 so I cant mess with it. Oh, and I did find out that the targa top leaks (dont they all???) So its another thing to fix. Right as we get into hurricane season! It only drips a little when its sitting still, it leaks bad when I stop at a light. Same thing my 89 does :) Anyway. Oh we do still have to find a place for the Boost and WB. - Maby we can use the stock boost location??? We will see.

Now its time to figure out what we need to do to get the big build back on track!

We are going to get into the big build in a week or so. As for the DD, its all good now. The last thing it needs is a tune. So hopefully this week I will get a visitor and tune it up... Still have to get the Boost and WB mounted somewhere..? But actually for not boosting at all, Its been a nice ride to work. I took the hood from the 5speed and swaped them. Also the targa, They were both badly in need of paint. Now I may get the front and rear bumper painted on the 90 and be done with it. Save the cash for the big build.
