Man sometimes it feels like nothing is going right. Hope you recover quikly.
Thanks for the air box write up. A real good Idea. You probably could fabricate some like others have done with other parts and make some money to finish your rebuild. I would buy one. Anyway, glad to hear your engine is on its way home.

Hey thanks guys, it did scare the sh!t out of me when it happened. But I think by the time the engine gets here I should be in good enough shape to manage. I will let you know Bigzavs if I need help, thanks.

I have thought about making the boxes and selling them, the only problem with mine is there is only enough room for an Apexi filter, I'm not sure if others would be able to fit? I will look at it and see if I can add more room some how.

Well the engine came today, (9:00 pm!!) F'n shipping comp lost it for a short time. Was suppose to come yesterday before 3:00. And it was sitting half way off the pallet when it arrived:nono:

Once I get a chance I will be starting the re assembly. HOPEFULLY this time all goes well. As it stands I have to say Jarco is good about their warranty, but I won't fully know until I start it again. They sent me new intake and exhaust mani gaskets,(because you can't reuse them) I had bought all new gaskets from Toyo the first time around. These aren't as good but I guess they will do. I still had to buy new turbo gaskets again from Toyo and a few other things.

So hopefully in the next few weeks it will be up and running. (yes, a few weeks, I take my time and do it right, just wish all others involved would:icon_conf ).

<fingers crossed>

Remember to pull the plugs and crank it in 30 seconds busrts till you get good pressure on the gauge! :)

Thats a big 10-4, wouldn't even think about not doing it. Now I have to figure what weight oil to run, during the day it's been in the mid 70's and at night it will be dropping into the 20's (according to the weather ch).......TX.....haha.

Single 30 weight non friction modified Oil for the breakin period works well Jimi!

Thanks IJ, is that "non friction modified" mean dino oil? Of coarse I wouldn't run synth, I will pick up a case of straight 30 weight (i used 10-30 "dino" last time)

Glad to see yours is doing so well!

hows ur thumb doin?

Thumb is doing pretty good, shouldn't have a problem. TX weather......I guess its good I won't be freezing my bum off on my late nights in the garage. Doesn't stay cold long enough to chill it in there.

I come from a land down under
Non Friction Modified is just straight 30 weight oil no additives or anything!

Valvoline do a break in Oil that's perfect, the 7M uses some of the hardest Cast Iron I've ever seen in a block so if you use a FM Oil it may never break in as something has to wear a little either the Bores or the Rings so you get a good seal!

Also the reason why Hard Chromed Rings suck in our motors! ;)

Thanks I'm really happy how it's behaving as I was a bit freaked out after a few years here reading about 7M rebuild failures!

Cool man, I knew that, just wanted to make sure we were on the same page. The last oil I used was the cheapest stuff I could find for the first run. Knowing there would be no additives. I think it was called "Proline", basically the store brand (pep-boys).
