I have a rebuilt 7M with forged internals and a rebuilt ported head with oversize valves and cams. Unfortunantly I am staying with a smallish turbo (probably a GT35) instead of a 67DBB which originally planned. I cannot stand the lag in lower gears. My goal is still over 600 at the wheels and a low 11 second pass with the little 61mm; I'm not afraid to push it..

Yup...it is possible with that turbo t do low 11's...my old set-up was similar and did an 11.0 :naughty:

I'm drifting pretty regularly in NorCal, but with my new suspension i think i'm gonna start sticking to Time Trial, Enduro, and maybe autocross. Its faster than drifting, and drifting just doesn't thrill me anymore

Hey Duane, I remember when you ran the 11.0 when you had the IHI RHC7 turbo. Do you rememer how much power you were making at the time, and what kind of headwork, or cams you had at the time? Thanks.. Hopefully I can pull a time like you..

My RHC7 was a 61mm turbo and at 27psi it did 620 RWHP. The head was mildly ported but with OEM cams.

I'm a picky bastard and I like things just so !! It will be finished in time to compete in pomona in Oct , if there was going to be any fast MK3s in Vegas I might be forced to go to that as well... I'm thinking of 3 to 4 off the top of my head that I'd like to race.. :evil2:

Nah, there's no cance of my car being there. I'll be flying out there for sure though Last year was fun so i gotta go again....

Choose Vegas, its a great time!!

i would love to go to EITHER, but i doubt it'll happen soon..... my car will be hitting the strip when i get it together. but to be honest, im kinda scared to really push my car hard. im not one to do thing half way, as in, if i go to the track its going to probably come in on a trailor. ill be on slicks, and im going to LAUNCH it. problem is, im still on the stock motor. i really can't afford to blow the thing up, so maybe ill race it on low boost
