The motor will only be run hard for 8ish seconds at a time....I'm sure that balancer could take it. If it was a daily driver that i was going to be beatign on on a reular basis, then i might have ATI make me something a bit bigger....

Good luck with that. :aigo: I ran mine less than 15 passes and most of them were only have track passes. We are not speaking of just seconds in the 1320 but RPM remember. ;)

He isn't worried because he is gonna run 8 sec..I assume that means in the 1/8 mile because that pulley is not gonna hold :biglaugh:

Well, the biggest hold up on the project is $$. Still need to buy the FAST setup, some pistons, and my air to water setup. I have just aboout all the materials to make my intake and exhaust manis (except the intake head flange) and then ill start with those once i finish tubing the front end and finding a spot to mount the turbo.

Cliffnotes: probably 2008...

EDIT- oh, and i still think the regular ATI will be fine :x:

what goes wrong with dampers?
They usually end up full of shit, but if you buy the disposable ones, you can just throw them away.

I didn't know the real answer, so I made one up.

Rich: You have any videos?!!! :naughty:

Duane - I wish I did, but we have been torn down almost all year installing a new crankshaft and pistons. You can see one of the old ones in my avatar. Running again now. I will try to get a video next time we test pass our new set up.

Bryan - PM me a list of items still needed. I know most of it from our phone conversations, but don't forget about all that little stuff too if you get some time.

I just got called a ricer at the grocery store... I was in line and i overheard the guys behind me talking about there camaro so I invited myself into the conversation and mentioned that I raced a little . we talked for a few min and then one of the guys asks "so what do you got" .. so I told him "a old school supra" and he replies so your one those f!@king ricer guys.. I usually try to put myself above this type conversation but for some reason this really bothered me this time . I just laughed and walked away.. Still kinda bothering me though..

This is where you get to choose 1 of 3 options: Laugh and walk away, start talking like them and make fun of them heavily in redneck slang, or go along with the ricer theory and tell them you have as civic as well and it has aftermartket fog lights from autozone. Your choice was well chosen. :biglaugh:

People don't know what a ricer is :3d_frown: It is "some" kind of car (not necessarily an import), that has been modified in such a way that not only looks retarded but has performance mods added that either makes it slower or doesn't do anything for the car at all. EX: Big muffles that sound loud and gauges all over but the car sometimes has no modification that would require them.
If you have a stock bodied Supra (such as yours Jason), it is not a "ricer". I am sure you already know that. ;)

I had a bunch of guys at the track once say that I had a ricer car..I replied by saying...what do you drive? They replied: A Mustang.. I replied: Aww I see, what does it run in the 1/4? They replied: 12's...I replied: Not bad for a Domestic car...I did a pass in the car and did a low 11 at the time and when I went by them in the staging lanes, I gave them a grin :biglaugh:

Who is laughing now? :icon_razz

Back to the topic on hand...I can't wait to hit the track again...When are you going man...Come on already :biglaugh:
