then you did not have a turboA pipe. I had a blank one also that was non turbo-a

there was a turbo-a pipe on ebay a week ago, it was not bottlenecked.

mine had no bottleneck. Im sure it was a turbo-a pipe. Someone that had the motor before must have bought it and slapped it on at one time.

you're saying yours was like stock but no 3000 right?

First off I dont think its worth quite 4,500 even if it was a GTEU. Your gonna pay that much more for another 25 hp!? Secondly I really doubt the claim of 8K miles!! Ask him to send you a picture of the in car speedometer

turbo A was a '88 only car/motor (of course w/ the 89+ designs, and badass gunmetal saw's)

I would consider it an 89 car. Well, as much as any other 89 manufactured in 88 in North America. It was manufactured the first month of 89 production. Any other car made during that month is also an 89.

GTEU means nothing, all 7M-GTEs are 7M-GTEU in Japan. It is a lot to pay just to get that extra 35hp, but some people like that sort of thing even though it's not that much better, it's unique, and if you wanted to build a LHD Turbo A replica, that would be the engine to use.

MAP is nice, upgraded turbo is nice, not much else is too appealing about the engine itself.

It looks like it is a Turbo A, but we'd have to tear it down and check the valve springs and such to be certain.

The Turbo A 7M-GTE is the same as a regular 7M-GTE, with some external changes, the longblock assembly has the same part number as the regular 7M-GTE. The Turbo A 7M-GTE has the same valve springs as the regular 7M-GTE. You could build an exact replica with a stock 7M-GTE longblock and just a few external pieces. Seems like paying all that extra to get a real Turbo A engine is kind of excessive.

turboA motors were not made in 92. Group A motor DO exist.

I dont believe someone would do the mods to a turboA motor to end up like that - the intake looks terrible compared to standard.

Also, the chassis is deffinitely not a turboA. Chassis plate is in the wrong spot, the cars red... etc etc.

I'd say it's a rip.
