That's close to what I was thinking, but leave the wood out of the equation, just set it up so that the customer can screw / glue on their own top piece. Shouldn't be too hard to mold, and all our spare tire wells are the same if I understand correctly.
ur telling me people will cut out a template THAT big of the entire trunk space to accomidate a sub box bottom? im not even going to go into the prob with the stock carpet in the way, countersinking the sub so IF u put the carpet back over the sub box it clears the sub itself and allows the sub to vibrate without interfeirence, running wires to the sub, fiberglassing the wood top to the fiberglass bottom etc... u do know that u CANNOT fit two 12's in that little hole let alone two 10" (unless angled, though thats a fiberglass job as well, and that would cost BIG $$$). not to mention a divider for both subs HAS to be done while fiberglassing AND then mended to the lid of the box itself?
trust me, lean away from the sub in the trunk idea. its ALOT more headahce than u can imagine!
PLEASE GUYS TRY AND REMEMBER THIS....
KEEP IT SMALL!!!!!!!!!
if its too big, the cost of said product and shipping is going to be OUTRAGEOUS.
