I'd probably buy b-pillars in CF.

I would love to get some type of airbox, but I don't know how you'd be able to make one suitable for all the different setups (i.e. people who haven't routed their IC piping through the fender, not running Afm anymore, etc.)

ok guys.... "B" Pillars are totally cool and easy to make, especially in Carbon fiber!!!!

this is a GREAT idea! i can knock these out quick!!

ill start a sperate thread soon to get a group buy together. i dont think we'll have a prob with that since even i need them! :)

subbox is a possiblity but again TOO big and a bit messy for what i want to be doing as a "side job" while working at the shop on my REAL project cars.

I would like a 2 guage pod that would replace the ashtray.

I have considered trying to make some sort of plate where I could remove the insides of the Maft Pro and mount it where the ashtray is.

Pros: Maft pro has a sensor monitor and it would be nice if it could be mounted in the dash somewhere.

Cons: The plugs for the maft pro are on top of the unit. It looks like crap trying to mount it so you can actually read the monitor and then you have wires showing every where.

Just my .02..

Starscream5000- the airbox idea is becoming a great idea the more i think about it. only thing is it would be more of a fiberglass/CF cover for the intake itself. to seperate heat form the intake and motor. making an intake out of fiberglass/CF is not very practical, due to the fact that one extra turn of a clamp on the fiberglass/cf inlet could cause it to crack! more ideas here though are appreciated.

Okay, How about this: on the opening of the box where the 4" pipe would bolt to, instead of having a round, 4" section of fiberglass jutting out for the pipe to be clamped to, have a short section of actual 4" pipe fixed into the fiberglass box as a single piece with the rest of the design.

Think of the short section 4" pipe (or whatever else you could come up with that would be 4", round, and able to be clamped down hard) with a square section, or something like that on the end, so you could put the FG epoxy on it to fixate it to the rest of the box.

There would also have to be a front piece to the box, like a sill to hold the square/rectangular air filter against the rest of the box, making a seal to only allow air to flow through the air filter itself. Think of this: a sill going all the way around the front of the box, in the shape of an "L", the longer part would push the air filter seal against the rim of the box. The bottom of the box could have like 3 slits in it to fit 3 little legs into it, which would be on the sill, the top portion of the box would need some type of piece on it that would accept a screw to tighten the sill to the rest of the box and make an air tight seal.

so i guess some of you want a box similar to arc's stuff....

shit, i'd be fine w/ just a shroud w/ a 4.25" hole in it (use our own 4" intake pipe, and filter)
