intake manifolds the same?

Yep, throttle body is different on the 89+
From what I've seen, the intake manifolds are the same.

Exhaust manifolds improved on the newer ones, they left a "rib" down the runners to try and stop cracking of the manifold. (Works to some extent, but they still will crack there if the manifold is not allowed to float on the gasket as it's designed to do. Make sure your bolt holes are open enough to let the manifold expand and contract as it's heated and cooled. This becomes a problem as people modify the head for larger SAE head studs, you also have to enlarge the exhaust manifold, or you can crack them.)

Ok, back on topic, the intake's are the same I think. TB's are different.

Intakes looks the same to me. TBs are different. TPS is also different (the arm was 90 degrees off, so I had to swap that over to my old TB when I swapped the TPS)

now i have another interesting question, i heard the NA y pipe flows better, but how much better, is it enough to mess up my tune if i swap from the na to the turbo manifold?

Im a little paranoid right now. I pulled my plugs. some are a little whitish but not sure if it means anything. The idle is a little rough. and I notice that when you add fuel at idle it gets better. TPS is listed under a lot of symptoms in the EFI section of the manual. I dont know much about it
