intake manifolds the same?

my 89 tps didnt fit my 88 tb, arm was 90 degrees off like doward sed

they're different, I found out the hard way

ordered a new one from toyota, went to put it on... it was wrong. Thought I used the wrong throttlebody (I have an 89, and I had an engine out of a pre-89 and I built one engine out of the parts), but I didn't.

The change was for the 90 model year I think...

Well 89 was the 'let us change all wiring and connectors year' so it may be very well possible that my tps is the 88 style sensor.
