Code 14 is a no IGf confirmation signal to the computer. The car will not start as long as this problem is occurring. The computer shuts down the injectors as a safety measure. IGf is sent by the igniter to the computer once the coil fires. The wiring or pin fits or coils or igniter could be at fault.

ok, so would this be why the car doesnt start even with an aem standalone?

There are two signals, IGF and IGT. IGT is the ECU telling the ignitor to fire, IGF is the ignitor telling the ECU that it fired.

You shouldn't need the IGF signal on a standalone unless it's looking for it.

ok, cause the aem is killing me. ive checked my wiring like 10 times and still have no spark.

i have all of the igt wires hooked up, and all of the crank/cam sensors wired. the aem sees everything and shows it cranks at ~230rpm

does anyone have a pinout for the ignitor? so i can see if its getting power or not.

IGf is the ignition feedback only needed for the ECU also you only need 1 cam signal input for a standalone you could pick either one but they are 180 deg out

I would make sure your ignition settings are correct should be the same as the 2JZGTE soarer chasser supra any year they use the same ignitor module.

You could also pull your coilpack of your spark plug and place it one a test plug if it is firing bad plugs ? timming setup ?

no fire bad ecu settings redo the rom file to it, bad ignitor or no power going to your coils or ignitor

well i checked power to the ignitor and coils and they have power. i called aem tech earlier and told me to move a couple pins around since the box is for a honda with no ignitor. im going to get back with them tomorrow so i can be in the car while on the phone.

also my cal file is off of supraforums from a guy that had an aem on his 1j. ive compared it to difference 2j cals and all of the settings are the same so i dont think it could be the cal file itself

Try a diffrent ignitor thats what everything is pointing to at this point.
All your coil packs cant be bad if you get them wet they dont work for crap.
Cracks that commonly happen to them also dont help.

Usually only 1-2 coils go out if you get it wet or they go bad so i think your ignitor module is acting up try using a diffrent one let us know.

got off the phone with aem again and they said only a 2j aem ems will work with our ignitors since is has an intigrated control module in it. so i went to a single bosch ignitor and started like a champ

problem fixed :)
