I was totally ignoring my teacher today in class and found a front shot of a MKIII, well then decided i'd use paint to draw out a quick idea for a front bumper, then decided to cell shade the whole car in a quicky. I'm no pro but you can obvuiously see what car i was thinking of. Funny how in looks like it rides the natural curves of the car. IMO...

i wish i had that much time, but i could do it if i was going for the graphics design field cause their puters have editing software, but i'm i'm going for CNS (Computer Networking Systems). come think of it if i was going for Graphics design i wonder if they would gimme extra credit for doing this or extra homework because i wasn't paying attention in class.????

Anyways for the design it looked cheesy and cheap with just the air dam design done in paint so I had to outline the whole car to balance it out. I was obviously thinking the new skyline/evo/STi when designing this air dam. However if you were to do the same type of air damn but only using the same type of curves that match the car I found it could be done, and look nice too. Not to mention you could smoothly wrap the bumper in CF then apply the bumper cover I deigned over it. What do you guys think?

Also for reference see my signature as the left image in it is a slightly smoother looking design of which I am discussing. :)

Hah. I'm cool with you thinking about your supra in class - not so much with the look of your design. The front of the pre-89 supra's is one of the many reasons I love these shitboxes :boink:

Hehe no worries, i'm actually taking notes on how to properly take notes. lol. I figure not everyone is gonna like or dislike my ideas, and for now it's just ideas. I actually have my entire build mapped out in a 3d model in my head, once i put in in effect on the puter I'll show it off, but it's pretty much what I plan on doing. I have a feeling that when the whole image comes together then some folks that thought they didn't like it might change their minds, if not no biggie it's my car right? anyways i've always been one to not do things quite like anyone else but at the same time i'd folow the KISS rule (Keep It Simple Stupid), which is actually a computer rule but works for cars too. anyways i'll post images of the render when done, :)

I really think it will take a whole image for people to understand entirely, but no worries.

It looks pretty good in the photo, but I couldnt see it being pulled off in reality.
thats totally understandable. it's not exactly easy to fully describe what I see in my head to a tee. and it could also be one of those ideas that look really great in your head but when actually produced in reality it could look like crap. but thats why i'm only paying for materials and fabbing it myself this summer instead of paying someone else to do it on a hunch, lol.

Well the 2 possible problems I see is you would have to consider the actual bumper structure behind it, to pull off the look you'd basically have to mold the fiberglass around it, but the problem with that would be you couldnt have it as 2 separate pieces so you'd loose the whole look.
