I'm not trying to cut corners. I was pointing out the specific "machine work" you needed for the copper HG's over the obvious machining like decking the block, etc. You are some know it all condescending guys. Justice racing motors is going to do the "machine work" (you might have heard of him, he builds MSP's motors, ya Know the six second supra guys) but unlike some people I don't crap hundred dollar bills so its going to be a while till I get my SPARE motor "machined". Until then I would like to drive effin thing so I was going to try the self sealing copper HG, but then found out it isn't made (the point of the thread). And yes, i am going to check the head and block for straightness with feeler gauges and a straight edge. My point was that these SCE head gaskets don't require EXTRA machining for O-rings. By the way machine work is anything that requires milling, honing or boring, not just to get the head and/block flat and strait. By the way I'm going to put a Fel-Pro HG with ARP studs. I'm running 14psi. I know some people on this forum don't know if their assholes are bored or punched, but I happen to build 18 speed transmissions for Volvo/Mack, have ran a vertical mill AND a lathe, and worked in a garage (MIDAS) for 10 years. I'm not an expert by any means, but I consider myself "worthy" enough to own this car, in fact its cost me more than one girlfriend because too much time was spent on it. So soapra, someone might get this car when I'm dead, like my children.
