well i have some issue with my ic piping and well i found a way to run it staight as possible but it's kinda odd and not really comon well for a mk3

i chould clock it faceing toword the vavle cover but i amjust incressing leagth and find even more odd

now if clock it down with point stright alot of my power streeing junk is in the way witch is gay again more bends more leagth

note the trubo will have the cupler section chopped off so the hood will clear so it will sit lower down

so what you guys think ?

aesthetically speaking it is much better looking with the turbo clocked pointing downward. If you like it this way and you have found it to be shorter and straighter then I say go for it, but I would probably clock the turbo the other way because there is probably a pretty marginal difference in performance between the two setups.

if it were that easy i whould

to much stuff in the way to make it stright my oil lines are just tad in the way and my ic end take it just not in good area to start form

i worked it out i gain about littel over 1 1/2 feet extra and shit load of shitty bends

now if was to relocate alot of my powerstreering stuff it healp out alot

but alot of money to do it the way i whould do it

so i cna leav it as is or chnage it

i not a fan of it as of now but kinda growing on me mabye is the money thing that is growing on me

more interested in your crankcase vent system. do you have a exhaust exit along with the vacuum from the manifold with a check valve preventing boost from entering the system. at least thats what it looks like to me

the less the bends the better, shorter lengths help but not as much as bends.
IMO. would it be hotter up there though?? cutting the compressor up, are you gonna disassemble it first??

I would think that first hard 90 would impose as much of a restriction as the extra 1 & 1/2 feet of piping with a few more but milder bends. The second bend that drops down to the IC looks sharp as well, and I can imagine the sweep to the IC inlet is also a pretty tight radius. I know one hard 90 is the equivalent of 20 feet of tubing restriction wise, now this is when dealing with fluids and your bend do have a bit of a sweep to them. Form>Function always but in this case it seems this rout might not be optimum. We arent there with the set up in front of us so its hard for us to really judge. I personally would take a few more feet over sharper bends but I trust you'll find a way to determin most efficient way Ryan.

if i go the other way it like 2 sharp 90's and some but off the compress it's not that bad since heat will help it's comon thing to see a 90 off the trubo

but another note is if i have any issue wiht piping poping poff it's an easy fix on the side of the road that is one plus to all this

plus i only have one bad bend that is all rest are like mabey 15 if that

ps this is just a pipe i had lyinh around to test with for looks

egay manfold are only do so good i wish i had the money to make one from scartch
