my dule oil filters and lines are in the way right by the ic end tank so going under it not an option cause you will see an ic pipe hanging low is just umm ulgy and looks to be poor fit ment

next with the 90 clock down and going along the frame rail again alot fo stuff is in the way

basicly my oil lines are given me griff and power streeing as well

Moving your oil filter relocation might be your solution...there is plenty of space in front of the passenger side wheel well. I'm pretty sure I've got some pictures of my relocation in my build thread (can't see the pics at work unfortunately). I'm not sure you can get a bigger filter mount/filters than the ones I'm using as well, so there is definitely room there.

This one gets my vote. I'm one who cares less about looks than performance. As long as it's not coated in a layer of grease and grime, it's beautiful in my book. :D

that 1 90 degree bend is going to equate to more feet of flow resistance than the distance your saving. your better off with a few 45 degree bends than throwing a hairpin in there for the sake of 1 ft.

it'd be worth it to just relocate your PS lines or move some shit around down there.

talking wiht some people about the hole tellscope idea and the 90 of doom it will not kill perfoamce since it's so close to the compresser

talking wiht rx7 buddie this comon thing on rx7 so he thou he get rid of the sharp 90 on his once he finshed it he did not notice a change

but his piping is short as piss any way

stilll at the stage of what to do

I don't have an issue with the 90 at all as I run a tight radius cast 90 on mine, what I do have an issue with is putting the pipe at the highest hottest part of the engine bay as this will increase the charge temp before the IC and the IC can only remove xx temp.

Like I said in flashchat, with a tight 90 welded to the housing and getting the pipe tucked down it might look fine, but pointing it down still looks better... Use a spacer like everyone else...

Tilting the hood will only restrict air through the radiator at speeds (it's a high pressure zone at the base of the windshield).

On drift cars that aren't moving forward fast, it's fine, anything else, hell no...

I'm not an expert, but u asked if we like it. I say what ever works, but with that hop pipe running RIGHT next to the ps fluid reservoir, won't it boil the fluid? It looks like oil filter relocation may be your best option. If you could run without ps, then the pump AND reservoir wouldn't be an issue. Shorter pipes w/less bends and a tad bit less weight.

The IC can only remove xx% of heat from the charge if you put air in that's 20% hotter it's going to be +20% coming out the cold side.

It doesn't make sense to run a pipe in the hottest area of the engine bay if there are alternatives.

This is what I meant earlier when I said you're going to do whatever is in your head so why do you bother posting threads asking advice if you have no intention of following it.... :nono:

hey nash. looking good. I personally hate the look of the pipes over hte top liek that, you already have the 90 degree from teh turbo so all it would be is a 45 and a 90 pipe throguh the hole. Thats how i did it. And i have my oil lines and power steering there too. I just cut and bent out any sharp edges of the same hole your going through. Try using a t4 spacer from driftmotion for more height or have one made up that is thicker. that would definitley do it.

later man.

you could have done it if you hadn't made those braided lines (look great by the way :icon_bigg)

you need to go under the i/c pipe. those coolant lines are cheap, you could just rotate the reservoir and run slighty more length of hose. you can still do it if your able to make up the distance with those braided oil lines..

That's all the clearence I have Ryan, keep in mind that side of the engine doesn't move much under power.

well there is not eghough room to even get cupler on there as it stands so i will have to take some more off the elbow and still skechy

so i going to do down to the speed shop to see how much a new res and stuff cost me caus eif going to chnage ti it might as well be for looks
