Yeah....
Automagic ftl. I bought a Supra to DRIVE, not to suggest where it point itself :3d_frown:
Manual advantages (just to be on the opposite end of SS
):
1) Direct mechanical connection between engine/transmission = Less parasitic drivetrain loss = more power to the wheels.
Lockup Converter
2) I can lose 2nd gear, and continue about my merry way
Ditto
3) Battery died due to radio blasting while working on your buddy's car? Push start it!
Jump it from your buddies car
4) $300 clutch job vs $1500 transmission replacement.
repeat twice a year it soon adds up
5) No cooling lines adding extra heat to your coolant system, or being a PITA when working with the radiator.
Do it right the first time and you don't need to work on the cooling system
6) NO LEAKY TRANSMISSION PAN.
see 5 no leaks here
7) Much more respect when you can run consistently, with a stick shift.
is that important?
8) No need for a 'shift kit' - if I want performance shifting, it's up to me. If I'm cruising and want the shifts to be buttery smooth, it's no problem. There is no 'compromise' with a manual transmission - you do as you want.
until you overshift and bend a fork or damage a syncro
9) R154 handles more power than the A340e, stock vs stock.
and shifts like a truck
And most importantly:
10) Though you may be able to put your hand on your girl's leg as you drive, it won't help you. She's still going to sleep with me, because even chicks know that MANUALS ARE COOLER THAN AUTOMAGICS.
In your opinion
