I want those volks... but they're so damn expensive!!!

Ya - I loved 'em, too ... now I'm parting the car.

Bought 'em used off SF - that helped keep the price down.

... can't believe I haven't found a local buyer for 'em - really don't wanna screw with shipping them.

The lower the offset the more lip you can have. But lip isn't just based onoff set though. In general though.. with rims with lip.. more offset = less lip and less offset = more lip. But it also has to do with other factors like the width as well.

alright so a 10.5" wheel with a +35 offset is gonna have way more of a lip then an 8.5" wheel with the same offset. i've been lookin at a lot of wheels and researching and whatnot... i think i've got it now. thanks for the answers without flaming me too much :biglaugh:

Has anyone ever seen a MKIII with the ubiquitous RS Watanabe wheels?

They seem to be the default wheel for the AE86 corollas - when I first saw those cars I thought it was a stock wheel. But curiously never, ever on a MKIII....

Here's a quick shop of GeneStarWind's car to show the potential awesomeness.

I'd definitely consider gettin these wheels, but I can't find any info on brake clearance. I'm sure the arz willwood setup would be a tight fit in 16x9 wheels if its even possible.
