so basically it's the wheel's dish/lip depth? like the one guy with the $100 bill in his wheel's lip in his display picture, he has a huge positive offset, right? i can't believe i study mkiii's for like 4 hours a day and still don't know anything about wheels at all.
The lower the offset the more lip you can have. But lip isn't just based onoff set though. In general though.. with rims with lip.. more offset = less lip and less offset = more lip. But it also has to do with other factors like the width as well.
I do not know about you guys but the dream wheels I am putting on my car will be either 15s or 16 inch chrome drag wheels with fat tires on them

YEa but those tires have traction. mine are summer/mild wet tires. it was a very sideways trip to work.
did you wrap tape around the tread?
