But at 70k there is nothing that compares to it ;) Well worth it.

The rb26dett was an inline 6 that came in the r34, I think nissan wants to to tout the V style in the skyline just because that is the engine they put in basically all there cars now.

a V configuration is FAR weaker than any inline configuration, it's fact...

Modern cars usually do NOT have the overhead to up the boost and get tons more power like the older cars do. I'm not talking about just the engine either, the drivetrain could be the same.

Come on, we don't remember DSM's? There are many examples I can think of that the stock engine cant' take much more than it's already designed for.

I hope it's not true, but we'll have to see.

Now where is Toyota's answer to this?

Yeah my brothers friend has one, and he is also on the list for the skyline. I can't wait to see this up close and make him take me for a ride. Anyway, my brother drove in his vette and he said it was insanely torquey. I still vote for the skyline, i can only imagine what the awd version is going to be like lol.

AWD SHOULD give the skyline an advantage over the ZO6..

but I doubt it weight wise, torque wise, damn near everything wise...

skyline took too long to develop, so they're already behind the curve. Chevy has a supercahged LS7 now that they could oh-so-easily drop into the ZO6 and waste the skyline with...

Um you can tell that the video speed is raised to like 2x when he gets on it to make it look faster. Just listen to the exhaust note before and after he gets on it. It has a much higher tone when he gets on it which comes with an increased video speed.

I'm calling bs.

paddle shifters shift insanly fast... too bad theyre still not as fun as a true manual. and im extremely impressed with the new gtr thats some outrageous numbers.... a $70k 2 seconds slower than a zonda.. what are those.. half a mil?

If you were driving a car like the Nissan GT-R around the track, I highly doubt you would have to worry about if you're having enough fun or not... You can't say you would be having "more fun" with a normal manual transmission. You might end up cutting slower lap times, get frustrated that you can't cut the same lap times as the paddle shifting car, and actually be having LESS fun. :)

You guys gotta get over this whole clutch and shifter thing sometime. Really.

no, the reason I said lame is that they are completely unlivable...

watch Top Gear and they HATE them for good reason. Parallel is a hazard with them as you can't modulate the clutch.

Keep in mind it's mostly for the manual transmissions that are paddle equiped (maserati), but I still wouldn't want to jack with it.

Gimme a clutch that I can slip on the dragstrip...

This is suppose to be the best auto trans out there though, but nonetheless, very upsetting to see there is not going to be a manual.

GTR = FAIL. GL getting another AMG sold, cause that's all this is, a dumbed down less hp, less luxury AMG.

wait so this version we've been talking about...its not the GTR is it? will the GTR be faster and maybe make us happier?

man...how could a company not look at the aftermarket for this kind of car? they make it great and then make it so you as the consumer can't really DO anything to it without being a reverse engineer or an advanced nissan technician who knows the car?

sure it's expensive so how much money are you going to spend once you buy one, but i just look at all the supras with over 500 hp...mkIV supras start out at what...30-40k dollars for a good turbo 5speed? i mean...i dunno. this thing better be damn reliable stock...or it doesn't seem as worth it as it would be if you could push it harder like you can a 2jz...
