Modern cars usually do NOT have the overhead to up the boost and get tons more power like the older cars do. I'm not talking about just the engine either, the drivetrain could be the same.
Come on, we don't remember DSM's? There are many examples I can think of that the stock engine cant' take much more than it's already designed for.
I hope it's not true, but we'll have to see.
