My bad experience was getting tires put on the 82 and they cracked a fender flare... :3d_frown:

Didn't notice til I got home so I just shrugged it off. it's like 1/8", so no biggie.

mounting and balancing tires with hand tools, that Id like to see. lol

Must be some new snap on hand tool set that I havent seen yet?:love:

You need a tire balance setup though which gets priecy. Im planning to buy one for motorcycle tires. The thing is a beast though and is not a hand tool.

The last time I took a tire off by hand I used a cutting wheel...

I'm just not patient enough I guess... plus Id scratch it all to hell. By tires somewhere and have them put on for free, thats how I roll.

I have one, but its called I don't let anyone drive my damn car.
When I have the car alighned I drive it up on the lift.

yep... I do anything I can on my car that doesn't require specialized machines.

Like having my head rebuild (valve job, cutting the valves, head milled), or getting the tires mounted and balanced (yes I could use tire spoons, but FUCK THAT it's HELL and you're more likely to mess up your rim, then you have to balance, and that's not fun...)

And if that confused you I clearified my interpretation of "new":

It's a new cut in the sense that it wasn't there when I bought it, but it's by no means a fresh cut and nowhere did I ever say it was. It happened last summer.

You said he was making stuff up and that there was a lot of rust around that "new" cut.

He never said it was a new cut, just that the shop made the cut, he never even said when it happened, after which he said it happened last year and that is the reason it has rust.

Your comments were totally out of place, rude, and uncalled for. Go back and read what he said and what you said, it's unbelievable.

Ide prefer to do something myself and with close friends, that way i learn something. when either car is in the shop, im right there watching what they do.
