current takes voltage to pass though your skin a i can see you do is burn yourself from the meta heating up. i can place both my hands on each terminal and nothing will happenDoward said:Holy fucking stupid, Batman!
Go look up something called 'amperage'
st2b, been there, done that
Takes a couple hours for that smell to dissipate

only contaminants in water conduct, and if i place a wrench on the terminals electricity is going to take the bath of least resistance... which would be.... can you guess people? the metal wrench NOT your handDoward said:That's because you are mostly water - and contrary to popular belief, WATER is NOT a good conductor!
Water (H2O) does not possess free ions to pass electrons around. Impurities in the water make it conductive.
.1 amp will even stumble your heart but it all comes down to the voltage because it takes voltage to get though your heartilikebigbutts said:my instructor once told me .2 amps can kill you.i dont know if i believe him cause i've gotten shocked by a ripped coil wire on my accord once.i touched it and then put my hand on the rad support.that shit hurt.
btw the starter is not a high current circuit unless its cranking:icon_razz
but the one thing lightning will do is scare your nerve endings and cause numbness or painPoodles said:has to cross over your heart...
Path of least resistance saves most people... Also, lightning and shocks usually aren't very good killers as they just stop your heart. If there is anyone that knows CPR, it's easy to bring you back...
Now being electrocuted with a constant amount depends a whole lot on your hydration and electrolite levels, and it ends up frying you literally. One of the reasons electric chairs aren't used for executions much anymore is that too much voltage sets the person on fire, and too much won't kill.
