ok, so during the week I decide to wire up some fog lights to my car. They have 2 lights on each side, one white and one yellow. I decided to wire a switch to each, so I can turn on the yellow and white independantly. I thought I was doing it right. I wired one power line through the firewall and into a fuse box I added with a 20amp fuse. Then split the power to each switch. After the switch I ran the wire back to the front of the car to the lights. I bought light up switches so I wont leave the lights on when i get out of the car. Now the thing is that I stupidly decided to ground the switch to the screw that hold the This is where i think the problem might have occured but i dont know. I did it here:
Here are the symptoms:
1. the car would not start - the battery seemed completely drained but I tried jump starting and I even put a batery charger on it for a while. (at first i was able to get the starter to turn like one revolution but not anymore)
2. when I turn the key, dash light flicker like crazy. radio does also
3. clicking coming from around the passenger floor, i know the starter relay is there
4. the head relay in the fuse box under the hood buzzes after trying to start it. I replaced it with one from my old car but it buzzed too.
5. I heard a buzz type of noise come from where I grounded the wire after the first attempt to start.
~and i checked all the fuses in the engine fuse box and the one under the drivers side kick panel.
Sorry for the long post, Im just trying to be thorough. And advice, tip, solutions would be greatly appreciated. Anything i should go check?
Heres a picture of the lights if it it helps to know what Im talking about.
