So after getting out of Supras for a few different reasons, mostly boredom lol, I decided to buy a 1st Gen GS300 and stick a 2jzgte in it. Apart from buying the motorset, everything else was pretty much leftovers or things I wanted to do to the Supra but never did.

Here goes : I'll just cut and paste from club Lexus :

The car :
Now I am moving on to the GS300:

The Turbo replacement : These are home made KKK26 turbos from the Porsche 944. :biglaugh: and are welded onto the stock 2jzgte manifold.
Two tial 38 mm wastegate and routed back into individual downpipes running off the turbos.

Super simple wiring harness work. All it needs is to be extended about 20 inches wirte for wire. No pinning needed. A lot easier than MKIII swaps.

HYDROFAN mounted. Used the hydrofan and shroud setup from a 84 Camry v6.made some custom brackets, though.

The turbo outlet piping actually fits and was designed to clear the ABS lines . And it sits in perfect location to run the IC piping down.

Enjoy :

I'm not one for body kits so I won't comment on that. So what was it that you heard that made you get in closer to listen to? I'm assuming your bought that neato turbine welded to the exhaust manifold set up dirt cheap, and couldn't pass it up. What was it previously on? What kind of power did it make? Was it worth it?

interesting build.

why did you weld the turbos tho? couldnt find a flange to fit??
When I wanted to put this on the Supra, I searched a lot for the flanges and could not find them around.
When I did find some, the guys wanted $150 a piece..so I said f*&'em and never did it.
I had a chance to buy this manifold setup ( yes welded ) and it has held up quite well for the guy. This is a DD kind of car and not something that will be entered into shows or pushing any real high horsepower and such that.
it fits the bill for a "project car on a budget" :biglaugh:

Thanks guys :
I just put the car for a full paint job ( same 202 black) and it should be ready by end of this week. I just delivered the paint today.

Cruise and boost videos will be up in a few weeks after everything is sorted out. My twin HKS silent power exhaust is on the way too. I will need to fab up a twin into one 3 inch (less than a foot long) pipe to connect the dp to the cat back.

MDC - the turboes are temporary. Once I have enough saved up for good fuel setup and a good turbo setup, they will be coming off in favor of better manifolds/fuel setup.

Here is where I got the setup ideas from : 13 psi waste gate springs only
Automatic gs300 running the same turbo setup.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aqTnNcNjQSU

seen the dyno sheets - around 354whp/343torque @ ~12 psi. But I will validate this myself..

any updates?

thanks guys. It definitely has a nice feel.
Updates ??
Yes, the car is now painted all black like factory . Had a free hookup so I just got it done. Not the best job but free is free. At least the rock chips and the front aftermarket bumper is painted as well as the rear trunk spoiler.
Also had the guy paint my Intercooler for a stealth look.

I need to wait for the paint to cure for at least a few weeks before I get the car buffed.

I am still in need to find a muffler shop who will make me a y-pipe without complaining or turning me away because there are no cats involved.

Here is the exhasut that I have waiting to put on :) Dual HKS Hi power.
