I searched for this before on the epc in cygusx but i could not find anything about turbo's having an extra clutch pack. Not calling you out by any means IJ as i hate auto's but i would just like more info on this.

edit: the a340e has been used in many many cars up until the 06's i believe in many trucks and car with rwd so i would assume that its all the same tranny but i def would like the know the differences as i have worked for toyota and would like to again.

I come from a land down under
I'll post up what I find when I rebuild mine, I'm only going on what my Trans builder told me were the differences between the GTE and NA 340's.

I have an NA case here I'm swapping my GTE internals into.

If it's bullshit I'll bust it.

wow. you beat your engine's more than most people with good hp(not the most but a good amount at high rpm) but you always make things better with real world action.

Need to search a bit better ;)

Note the references to 7M-GTE or 7M-GE in the diagrams.

A few other minor differences I may have missed...the above is reflected in the disassembly/assembly verbiage as well. There are also a few clearance spec differences.

LOL...yeah, right. I read the whole damn section a couple times before I sent mine out to IPT. I'm doomed to do that:

1) I hate appearing stupid to guys like Ty and John at IPT
2) I really have this curse to have to know what I'm doing
3) I hate having to do things twice (because I fucked up)

:runaway:

I'm waiting till I'm actually ready to start on mine before I educate myself on it's inner workings as at this age I'm finding each new thing I learn pushes something older out ;)

oh i see. i dont care enough about autos to search threw the tsrm(which i guess i should have). i searched threw the epc and did not find any difference between clutch packs but again i do not like autos so having actual facts maybe even a sticky as this comes up often might be a good idea.
