Just wanted to say thanks for the tutorial, got the ranger bearing installed exactly how you did on my 87 and it fit like it was meant to be and it works perfectly.

This place?

They don't list one for our supra directly, but they have that one for "77-94 toyota cars" that looks like it might be right. Only $90 too. No idea if it would fit for sure though, and you have to re-use the original metal bracket.

driveline.com came up with a trucking company website for me.

Called Napa and the part number did not work in their system. Also is this for a 2wd or 4wd, front or rear? They looked it up and they wanted over $200 for it!

That's the line code. Anybody who works at a Napa should know the line code for bearings is BRG and add it to the part when they look it up if it's not there already. When I worked there we had a huge chart with all the line codes on it. I will add it to the first post though anyway.

Also might aswell post that this is still holding up fine, no signs of wear or anything. I have about 9,000 miles on it now and have since gone from the stock twins to a Holset at 16psi.

***** EDIT *****

Mounting bracket fits, bearing is wrong size... No dice on this one...

just found this Anchor update: http://anchor-online.com/pdfs/6061-6062-Product-Alert.pdf

So, this one should fit : http://www.oreillyauto.com/site/c/detail/ANR0/6062.oap?year=1992&make=Ford&model=Ranger&vi=1137844

I'm picking one up this weekend and trying it out. $26.99 :)
****update*****
It fits! $26.99.

DrDucttape, there is a very good reason that was only $10... I mean if it works, awesome, but if not, you'll know why. ;)

Well according to ToyoDiy there are two bearings which I have copied to here

37230‑14061 (01/1986 - 07/1987) 1 € 202.63
37230‑14070 (08/1987 - 07/1988) 1 € 197.65

there are also several different sizes of the thick washer. here

37230G WASHER, NO.2 (FOR CENTER SUPPORT BEARING)
90201‑10008 OD=25, T=4.5, T=4.5 2 € 1.10
90201‑10017 T=9.0, T=9.0 2 € 3.07
90201‑10033 T=6.5, T=6.5 2 € 3.36
90201‑10034 T=11.0, T=11.0 2 € 3.53
90201‑10035 T=13.5, T=13.5 2 € 3.60

I personally will be going the Rockauto route and Ford part. So for me over here in the old world (UK) the ford way is the cost effective way. We don't have so many MK3 suppliers over here as you do. I think this is a great service to all MK3 owners. Thanks. Ian

My 88' has a 1.181" race. Two of the Anchor 6062 bearing i have gotten from O'reilly have been 1.257". I dont know if they are being mixed up during packaging, but check it before you buy. I ordered a 6061 and it will hopefully be right.

Gave Up on the OReilly bearing and got the Napa unit for about $70 cost. Cost Another $45 to have it installed.

Um... Why didn't you install it yourself, and why do they think it would need to be balanced?

Idiots throwing them out of phase. Wear to the internal rubber dampening and ujoints. Vibration and impacts from objects throw them out of balance. Doesnt hurt to have it checked.

Correction. It was $45 for balance and install.

Not to arise this thread from the dead. (Although i just did... @_@)

I am wondering if there are more updates and people who've done this and if anyone has noticed any issues?

I just took my old one to a local shop and they had a direct fit replacement, installed it the other day and its perfect. Got rid of all my driveshaft slop.
