Hold on, here's some of my thinking. The Tbody is 60mm going to the mani side, and the turboA is 65mm. So, more air= more power. RABIDCHIMP.COM offers a 62mm Tbody for the GTE (175.00), i dont see why they cant do an NA. Just ask them. note: you gotta look in the mk2 section. im gonna see if can get that 65mm when i turbo. you could port match the manifold if they bore for you and you could bust off that AICS access cover and get the smoothing on the runners. those runners are nasty as stock. good luck.

Custom intake, header, full exhaust, more compression (get it up to around 10:1) serious port and polish, and big beefy cams + standalone MAP system.

or just toss some nitrous on there :D

Seriously, on a NA motor, it's all in the volumetric efficiency of the motor.

I have a 88 N/A with a pacesetter header 2.5inch dynomax exhaust to the tip, underdrive crank pully MSD wires and iridium plugs, MSD sport compact ignition, short throw shifter, and im sure theres more stuff like the TOKIKO gas struts and Ebaich sportline springs and MORE... with all the aftermarket parts I still feel as if 13.9 in the quarter seems a little out of reach...what else is cost efective that might help me break into the 13's?

Most of that stuff isn't going to affect your trap times at all. Bolt on mods just don't free up that much power and the stock ignition system is pretty good. If you want to get even close to the thirteens you're looking at some major internal work and a ton of weight reduction. There is no cost effective way to get into the 13's with an NA. Unless you go with nitrous.

Put your 7MGE in a mk2 :)

Saw a flat black mk2 that was gutted and had a stockish 5MGE with only a half an exhaust run a 14.0 last year.

My car has been lightened quite a bit, though not "gutted". Going to the 1/4 mile tomorrow to see what she does. :)

Holy thread revival Batman!

Don't you know the forum rules? Allow mean to explain.

IT IS ALWAYS BETTER TO POST IN AN EXISTING THREAD THAN TO START A NEW ONE ABOUT THE SAME TOPIC.

Thank you Spec for being a lurker with a clue.:icon_bigg

Oh, in case anyone is interested and didn't see it in the other thread,

my car ran 15.54 @ 87.9mph with a LOT of wheelspin. It was the BFs 2nd time at the track and he only got ONE RUN IN for being there 3 hours.

I'm pretty sure my car is in the 14s w/o spinning. Both him and I need to practice launching. Oh, and the tires were stock air pressure too. We were gonna lower the air on later runs, but never got a chance.
