How protective are you of your Supra?

So where ever I park my Supra i'm always concerned about the surroundings etc. and my girl is like, "there are BMWs & MBs here, why would they try to steal a Supra?" Of course "I" think the Supra is much nicer......but that's just me. :D

How concerned do you get with your Supra's safety?

I always lock my steering wheel and use my aftermarket alarm, but sometimes I feel like that's not enough of a deterrent.

How do you make your Supra fort knox?

I park my car where I want to and don't worry about it. It's pretty beat up so it doesn't attract much attention. Even if it did it's just a car and there's nothing you can do to stop car theft unless you're actually present. Alarms are a deterrent nothing more. If I was really worried about the car I would install a hidden ignition cutout switch. I also take the MAFT Pro computer with me when I park the car on the street. Good luck stealing that.

I'm not TOO concerned about it. Already had my car stolen from my underground garage that required 2 keys to get into (Got the car back 2 weeks later with most things missing).

After someone went to the effort to get in there and take my car, I would drive myself insane worrying about her all the time.

Kill switches + alarm = safe car

I protect mine by parking it behind my house, & I keep it from being beat up by NOT driving in rain or foggy weather .

And when you're in the Kwik-E-Mart they'll steal that too!

All I can add is that a good alarm with more than one hidden kill switch. The alarm will deter them from entering the car in the first place, or towing it to a chop shop.

Once they're in, alarm even going off they can act like it's their car if they are somewhere you are not. For example, I know if my alarm went off around here and someone was in my car taking out my expensive shit (which I've yet to get :)) and a neighbour saw they would it was the owner who accidentally set it off.

If I was lucky they would call the cops about the noise if they were bitchy enough.

The kill switch is usually a part of the alarm, but put a manually activated secondary one to use if you know you're going to park somewhere shady.

My brother has a Clifford G5 alarm and it's actually very nice, if you want to check that system out. requires keypad entry, has lots of features.

I have a .45 under the seat plus two kill switches. Factory alarm and I never park it outta site. And if it must sit. I pull both of the two main fuses under the hood.

Hidden kill switch on a self holding relay; you have to push it while trying to start, and once you turn the car off it defaults back to armed.

Parked in locked garage every night/day.
In a security patrolled parking garage when at work.
Park away from other people in parking lots under lights if at night.

Viper alarm soon to come...

It's not likely that someone's going to jack your car from a parkinglot using a trailer. Though, you are correct; there's not a whole lot you can do about that though.

You could take the front left and rear right wheels off every night. LOL.

I was working at a shop that specialized in Corvettes, yet my all stock na 86.5 was stolen while 12 vettes w/keys in the ignition were left untouched, including the callaway twin turbo that was right next to my car.If they are experienced thieves and want your car that bad, there is not much that can be done to stop them.
