If you haven't noticed that's a toyota engine. Good luck with that though.
Those are also direct injection spark ignition engines, they have the ability to control size, shape and density of the fuel cloud in the combustion chamber. Those engines can run stoichiometric mixture of up to 60:1 when in cruise mode, and still keep the engines from detonation and pre-ignition. Pretty amazing stuff.

Unfortunately the 7M has none of this technology and will never see this technology. So with 11.5:1 compression 100oct.( thought I’m not sure how German octane ratings translate to US ones) fuel and methanol injection he could probably run .8 bar max with a proper engine management, but that is as far as I think it could go. And that is just a guess based on what those forms of preignition control are capable of. Nobody here has really explored that particular combination of variables as far as I know. So please let us know how it works for you.

Hey, I saw David Hasselhoff do it in Night Rider. If he can do it, WE CAN TOO! :biglaugh: No, seriously, a 10.5 to 1 aluminum head motor will take .4-.5 bar with 93 and all the supporting mods. 100octane should take .7-.8, with water injection ???? not sure Jailbird, you will be the first. Good luck!

the FCD is fine, HKS did entire cars back in the day with all their electronics (they where the first to really support the Supra officially and so strongly)

what this car will do? well, I have no idea as that compression is high even for an N/A car of that age.

Also keep in mind that you can have a high compression ratio on smaller engines, motorcycles run something like 14:1 because they can.

this is the difference from USA to germany...in germany we are develop high power engines for the street.
I working in a car workshop as a master!
We are built and repair engines for gasoline an diesel cars!
So i can calculate a new engine to built up for costume.
And a 7M engine is good to built up with high compression and high boost!
So you see...it is not a problem when you drive with super gas and Wather Alc. Injection!
Valves and Valvetrains are high modified.
this is not a joke..it is are real!

also...what do you think..??

how much HP??

If youre the master, then build away, but I would bump the compression to like 14:1 if you say the 7m is capable of high compression with high boost. And post some videos......:biglaugh:

BTW, why dont you just put it on a dyno if youre that curious about horsepower?

I would think you will be somewhere in the neighborhood of 500hp, depending on tuning and a high octane.

Honestly, if he was going to do all of this junk to his car and blow several thousands into it, he wouldn't be on here asking this. He should have sense enough to put it on a dyno. I'm pretty sure those VW and Audi engineers tunes their cars with dynos ;).

anybody bother to look at that link to the last build page? serious $h!+ going on there!
I did and that's why I'm sitting back watching the progress :)

Just finished all 49 pages and a few points I came up with are>

1) A Cold Air Intake would be nicer than the hot air sucking foam filter

2) I'd have installed the WB sensors further down the Dumppipe to get better service life

3) Either a FFIM or a single sided IC might have been a better choice but in reality shouldn't make a noticable difference with a modern turbo

4) Full Flow Oil Cooler would be preferable to the stock pressure based system

5) A JDM Plastic Charcoal cannister would have been easier ;)

6) Beautiful welding.

yeah, I'm with you old man, I wish the states had the petrol you guys have.
I'm thinking he's looking like vicinity of 750 hp with easy tune, maybe more

At one bar, I think he'll be over 500 with that compression if it works.

Several more pounds... perhaps into 700's.

Der boostin ich der SHEIST!

...er... something like that...

PS... I'd give a left nut for the array of HKS he has... I'm from that camp.

ALL I CAN SAY IS: "Break-out! Jailbird!!!":biglaugh:

I agree with IJ's points

I see some SERIOUS craftsmanship going on there, even smart enough to build a brace for the turbo like the stock one.

curious where you got that strut tower bar and also the blue silicone hoses for the ISC...
