Those are also direct injection spark ignition engines, they have the ability to control size, shape and density of the fuel cloud in the combustion chamber. Those engines can run stoichiometric mixture of up to 60:1 when in cruise mode, and still keep the engines from detonation and pre-ignition. Unfortunately the 7M has none of this technology and will never see this technology. So with 11.5:1 compression 100oct.( thought I’m not sure how German octane ratings translate to US ones) fuel and methanol injection he could probably run .8 bar max with a proper engine management, but that is as far as I think it could go. And that is just a guess based on what those forms of preignition control are capable of. Nobody here has really explored that particular combination of variables as far as I know.
