Not a whole lot really. maybe 12whp at the most? Even if that, its not alot.

Well it's in the GE section, so probably not turbo'd but I'd say it'd be a bit more than 12whp.. but probably no more than like.. maybe 25 or so? Unless your engine is old and beat down, then maybe 12 is right.. lol

lol... go look at some of the 7MGE dyno sheets and the associated mods. Most average between 140-160whp depending how beat down the engine is.

i didnt know it was in GE, it showed up as recent post on my main page. the OP's name is mk3_89turbo....which causes confusion as to whether its turbo or not. also, they say replacing the cat with a test pipe is supposed to add 12 then another 20 or something for a cat-back, not sure that i believe it, haven't dyno tested that theory...i would say you will gain 20hp at most..but i could be wrong

edit: the test pipe and cat back numbers are for gte...not familiar with na numbers

The 7MGE is a slug. Unless you spend ridiculous amounts of money on it, or turbocharge it, you're not going anywhere fast. Literally.

200rwhp is nearly unheard of from the 7MGE, unless you dump in serious amounts of cash. With that same serious amount of cash, you can put down 300+ easily with a GTE or N/A->T.

a good thing to do would be to dyno your car now, then put on your exhaust and intake then dyno again. that way, when someone else asks you can look like a super smart guy and give them a real number. although it will be slightly different with each car anyway

edit: seriously...im not being a dick...i try to make mental notes of things when i make any mods to my car so that i may be of some assistance to others when they ask

not really. most people go na-t or swap to gte. if it was me i would just replace the hg and torque properly until you can afford the swap. but im sure there are na guys that will argue with that logic

thats true too...after the first one i would just be like "oh its ok..im gunna do upgrades", but after the second one it would be more long the lines of "FML" lol....no offense ge's out there

until i do the swap imma do a few things to make it look nicee. first off paint. what do you's think of a green? not a dumb lime green but a little darker.
