it would be a new gasket, whatevers best i would LIKE to do some kind of cometic but i dont have time to do it right and machine the block, so im kinda in a jam, so whatevers best stocker type will have to do for now i mean this one held up fine no probs for a while and really, it didnt blow between cylinders, it blew 3 water jackets for some reason, this one was at 100ft on a toyota gasket im just wonderign what my limits are on this or actually if anyone has any other advice or pointers, im a newb sorry

i looked at a felpro gasket, then a toyodealer gasket, i went with the toyo dealer gasket. Im not sure psi is a direct cause of most BHG's, as much as detination, corrosion and or overheating.. boost will certainly help it once any of the previouse have occured..

As far as the original gasket that was installed, i dont know if there was a defect in design or if toyota just didnt torque it tight enough during install??.. i think its the torque issue myself... i run 12-14 psi max on mine. due to detiination, if i upgraded fuel tuning, i have heard i could go higher but have not tried this personally..

The main reason that stock HG's go is Toyota's low head bolt torque from the factory. I have a toyota HG on my car and am currently running 15psi on a stock CT. GrimJack had an OEM HG torqued to 100ft.lbs and ran 20psi on an upgraded CT26 before his blew.
This topic has been driven into the ground, please search before asking.
EDIT: Get a Toyota Gasket.

sorry aye mate, i did research and dug up some old topics, i was just fishing around for a little more information and thought maybe peopels insights maybe have changed or something else has been learned or proven, can you please leave this open id like to see what some others have to say, if not then thats fine to.. sorryyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy

edit: i was actually running 20 psi on a to4 set up 60 trim upgraded fuel system and such, then my gasket decided to blow in this odd way for some reason, cans till performed awesome and suhc, it took me a while to figure out it was the HG actually because there was NO smoke, NO mixture in oil/coolant, NO loss in coolant, i jsut smelled burning and then relized i was getting air into the cooling system, then noticed my rad was leaking, i had the rad checked it had all kinds of flow problems i got a new alum one... and same thign took me a few weeks to figure out 3 of my water jackets had a hole

is there anything i can spray on a stock gasket to make it stick stronger? like copper spray or something sticky along them lines. if i can get something real sticky on there with some head studs @ 100 i should be golden so long i stop detonating
