How many of us have automatics?

Hey,
So I see that a lot of people on here have 5spds but I was wondering how many of us have automatics. Most people on here seem to want to do a auto to manual conversion. Anyway if you have a automatic please post the mods you have and the times you have had. If you have a automatic do you plan on doing the manual swap?

Ive got an NA AT and its fun! i guess the fastest time i got is 0 - 60 8.9 sec. lmfao.
Thats alot better than I thought a na would be. I drove a 2003 Mitsubishi Lancer and it did 0-60 in about 11 seconds. It's funny how a older supra is still a lot better than most newer cars.

i have a 90t with a built auto and high stall converter, and a 87t w/ a 5sp with an auto swap going in.
So you have a 5sp and your going to swap it with a automatic? Why is that? It's usually the other way around. :icon_bigg

Have a 5 spd, but want an auto. I'll probably do a swap later as well.
Why are you guys doing the swap? Is it because of traffic in your area or are autos better when building cars? I always thought people prefered 5spds.

I come from a land down under
My car is dead silent at highway speeds and is just a big fat fast cruiser so the Auto suits it much better and getting a clutch that would hold 500+rwhp was a problem and made it a bit difficult to drive.

The Car is so much faster/quicker with the auto and is a blast to drive.

I see. Most people think fast cars have to be 5spds. I'm glad to see people loving autos.

Yeah, I'm N/A Auto. It's not as bad as people say...people are just close-minded to research anything though (most of the time, anyway)

I occasionally get a chance to drive a 90 n/a auto, compared to my 87 n/a 5 spd. So much smoother, and faster, shift between gears. I could just be getting lazy in my(compared to a lot of people here) old age. Won't have to put up with the pita clutch problems I see with the R154 when I decide to install a turbo later. Thought about putting a turbo 400 in it when I do the swap, but I'd like the overdrive that the A340 offers. Three speed on the 4.30 diff. would suck...

A340e here.
13.9 @ 108mph 1/4 mile *factory stall on street tires.
326rwhp.

only mods to the tranny are shimmed accumulators, and a complete flush of 7 quarts of royal purple atf every 4 oil changes.
I have a 11'' x 7'' B&M supercooler w/ built in thermostat to keep oil at ideal temp.

Will probably keep the a340e until i either break 400rwhp or the 1st gear spline. They are strong transmissions they just have to be treated right.

My 86.5 is auto and so was the 87 and 89. I didn't look for auto specifically but that's what fell in my lap each time. I don't mind since I'm a cruiser. My GTE tranny is not going to be a part of the swap yet. I'll ride on the GE and save up some money to rebuild the GTE.

Stock 91, auto, in perfect shape.
The car is just my DD, and I like to drink my coffee and listen to the stereo on the way to work.

My best time is 12 minutes to work...:sarcasm:
