I ordered pistons a while back and so far its taken more than a week for UPS to get them here. They were supposed to arrive yesterday, then again today, and now MONDAY is the date they're banding around, but they'll still probably screw up then as well!! :3d_frown:

Has anyone else had crap from UPS before?

I just want my pistons :(

Apparrently so....i was on hold for 30 mins before i even got to the automated service and that told me i now have to wait til the 19th to get my stuff!!!

Another 15 mins on hold after confusing the automated system put me through to a habib on the other end who apologised profusely and said he'd get it sent to me on monday...

Yeah big problems with UPS here, gixxer750 can vouch for it.
Parts shipped 6-27-07
Returned to sender (box damage)
Parts shipped again
Returned to sender (not enough postage supposedly)
Parts shipped again
Hopefully make it this time.

Was that really UPS fault, or poor packaging and the wrong weight measured?

I haven't had a problem from most shipping companies and I've had a lot of stuff delievered. Almost every time I get an est. date the package either arrives on time or a day early. USPS did loose a book that ordered recently though, fucking media mail, their tracking systems sucks donkey ballz too.

When shipping to canada, I get the USPS and Canada Post team on the job, they're like Batman and Robin played by Adam West and Burt Ward... they show up, make a big scene, there's lots of loud noises and stuff gets busted. But in the end, the good guys get their stuff, the bad guys get whupped, and... ok, bad analogy. USPS is still for the win.

USPS Airmail ftmfw. 90% of the time, no duty. USPS ground, 50% of the time, no duty.

UPS sucks donkey balls when shipping from US to Canada. 100% of the time, duty, tax, and "brokerage".

I work for UPS, I load the brown trucks for delivery. Sure things slip up but you got to consider the volume going through UPS. I handle about 1,000 packages into my trucks alone each day. I have to send damaged stuff to be inspected/repacked etc. Id guess 2 in 10,000 of my boxs dont go out the day they are supposed to because I pass on loading them for whatever reason.

You also get the human factor, people screw up. The packages get loaded on the wrong trailer/truck sometimes and can costs days waiting. If I screw up and load your box on the wrong truck and my driver doesnt want to drive out of his way, your screwed. Some people could care less just like any other job, they dont think of the customer. I kill myself to make sure all my boxs are in the correct truck and ready to deliver. Still mistakes are made and it shows up as you waiting which sucks.

Some drivers are seriously picky about damaged boxs. If theres a bent corner they refuse to touch it. Of course thats 1 less box for them to touch that day so they are happy to refuse. My theory, would you rather have the package today beaten up(no sign of content damage). Or, would you rather wait 1-2 days while its repacked then sent back out. A box can take a serious beating and the stuff inside be just fine. You cant expect a box to make it thought any shipping system and be perfectly fine every time.

Not to rant but it sucks to see 100s of people kill themselfs to move these packages every night and noone cares lol. One of the best things you can do if your willing, is pick up your own package at the center. Call the number and have it held for you. That saves the package from moving across alot of belts and through alot of hands. Sucks having to go get it but keeps you from waiting for the dam driver to show up.

I have actually never received a messed up package from UPS and I have received many things. The main problem is the lack of packing material from the sender.
