She called me again and told me the mechanic they sold the car to actually gave it t ohis friend, so this car belings to Mr. Bilek's mechanic's friend hehe. She is sorting it all out this weekend, but has told me she wants me to have the car, so when I get back to toronto on sunday night she's gona call and let me know for sure what is going on; whether or not his friend is keeping it. She said he told her it had some engine trouble so that's why he left it there ( BHG came to mind for me :icon_razz). Still, any way you slice it, a free bhg turbo supra is still free and I can always fix a BHG, I did it before. I'll update on Sunday night or Monday.

Nice deal! Props to you man for saving a supra!! If you get it.. reminds me of a supra i saw in Webster, MA. It was red, 89+ lowered, had some japanese writing on it, HKS Super Dragger exhaust. Rims (Gay chrome 20inchers). I told my friend damn i want it. It was just sitting at a trailer park. Looks like it was sitting for a while..That was a few months ago...probably is still there. Dont mean to hyjack you thread, it just reminded me of it. Good luck :icon_surp

Man just reading this thread makes me keeping my eye open and wanting to find a distressed supra that needs a new home : ) haha well today i was in Clifton NJ going to a funeral and what do you know i saw a purple 87 supra i belive its a hardtop at what looks to be a abandon gas station it had weeds grown up on the side of it and looks like it needs some mayjor help! Your inspiring us all to find supras bahahha lol . Don't want to hyjack your thread just thought idd share.

It's not looking too good for me anymore. I called the lady again today and she said the mechanic's friend still wants it. She told me he has until tomorrow sometime to wrap it up and change over the ownership or else she takes it and i get it, but since he is the mechanic's friend after all, I'm sure he'll just get his bud to write fake safety/e-test papers to register it so he can keep it. If he does, he'll probably just leave it where it is, mocking me everytime I pass :cry: hehe. I have hope though! This car needs me and I fel like if the guy hasn't cared about it until now, he won't get things done tomorrow. I hope it ends up in my hands :icon_bigg I'll update tomorrow with the verdict, and pics of the inside and engine bay if/when I get it :icon_bigg

hehe ed. Well you can probably assume that since i haven't posted anything yet that means I don't have the car yet:icon_razz. The lady tried to contact the other party all day yesterday without succes; leaving mesages etc so that leads me to believe he's either ignoring her or way to busy. She said sometime this week if he doesn't finish transfering the vehicle her husband will tow the car then I get it. This would happen probably Friday or Saturday; she seems to be giving him a chance to finish what he started, and she did say she would call me regardless of the outcome, so if she does not call me by Sunday then I will call her and find out. If I do get the car, an extra parking spot at my appt is only $30/mo! o that made me pleased. I would probably take it to my fiance's grandparent's yard before snowfall to store it, working on it when we went up there (2 hours away). You guys will know the outcome as soon as I do, rain or shine. :icon_bigg

I have done this before. Here is what to do, Try to find the owner of the property. If you can get a hold of him find out what the deal with the car is, if it was abounded there. I'm not sure about Canadian law but here in Michigan it is 60 days to be abandoned. If it is abandoned the car belongs to the owner of the property. He will need to file for an abandoned title. The DMV will then try to locate the owner. If they can not locate them they will issue a title to the property owner. If you are lucky and do all the work he might just give you the car. As in my case I ended up with a nice 95 eagle talon. Hope this helps some. Didnt read the whole post so if you got it already discard this.
not gunna sift thru the whole thread because im a lazy peice of crap.. but it looks like the body is OK if you want to do alot of patch panel work.. more then likely it has a bhg and or rodknock... so.... its not technically worth a bunch.. and most likely has big past due fee's, and other fee's of some type.. go to the local DMV (not sure if its called dmv out there) and ask them how it works, or ask a police officer or someone in uniform.
The woman and her husband finally said the car is officially mine and i can tow it away and have it. I'm going to pick up the ownership either Monday or Tuesday next week, and then I'll get a key cut from Toyota so I can get inside the thing! Once I tow it, I'll be happy. Once i get inside it, I'll give you guys more pics including under hood ( may be ugly hahaa), under cover in trunk ( hopefully no bodies), and inside more.
