Yep.. I just got my car all back together this last weekend! Only teethin' issue is that my water temp gauge doesn't want to work! Oh well.. should be easy to fix.

We have had a great showing the last two years of MKIV's.. really hope to see some nice MkIII's come out! Lots of Celica's, MR2's, Corollas, Scion's.. etc. We're definitely trying to pull some more of the old/rarer cars to come out!

Hope to see you guys there! I'll keep the jax crew posted on anything new with it coming up. Thanks again,.

Hey man!!! what year is yours???

What side of town?

Anywhere from downtown, beaches, southside to Mandarin. I run around all over the place really, just not on the westside or northside very often.

your celica doesnt happen to be brown/tan with some black wheels does it ?

Nope.. thats is probably Tom's car though before he repainted it Electron-Pearl Blue though. There is only one other turbo Celica in town beside Tom and I's and thats Mikes which is a multiple of colors right now with a current CS bumper and hood mods going on.

I would but I'm currently trying to fight a small leak in my headgasket, ARP studs only stay for so long before you have to retorque them. I'll be doing a retorque this weekend and we'll hope all is good, but its been nearly 3.5+ years since the original stud and metal headgasket install, so at this point.. its a crap shoot if its going to work. If not, then I'm going to let it sit until Sibling Rivalry on August 4th, baby it up and back and then put her down for a new HG. Lets hope thats not the case though, I just feel its been to long now for a retorque to really help. We'll find out soon enough.

I finally got the turbo engine pulled apart today and surprizingly the rod and main bearings are in specs. The MHG that was in there looked really f*cked up from where somebody put coppercoat on it. You can see where it had runs in it and where it blew between #3 & #4 cyls.....The head is going to tachyon for rebuild/lapping and so is the block when im done tearing it down.

I also saw the clutch is almost done....
found a broken bolt holding on the PP....
NO Gaskets were used on this engine on the bottom end at all.

Cross your fingers for me !

ewww.. that coppercoat stuff is no good. I hope the issue did not surface because of the mysterious 'rivet' problem.

well, you could see that somebody sprayed it and it looks like they just plopped it down on there right away instead of letting it dry.......you can just see it didnt mate well with the block.
