And here I am again!

My next project involves replacing all the hoses (many of which are cracked open or just plain broken and currently held on with gaffer tape)- specifically the ones off the turbo.

Is there a hose "kit" anywhere that one could purchase to replace all of them at the same time? ..if not, what would you guys do if you had to basically replace every hose off the turbo?

Would there be any benefit to replacing the hoses with something other then the usual stuff? Advice would be awesome! :icon_surp

You've got bad hoses on the turbo?! Don't drive that car until you get those fixed with good, high temp hoses!

Not all of them are bad- but all of them look like the original, factory 20 year old hoses- so I figured I'd just replace them all to avoid problems later on.

There is one coming off the turbo intake that's currently held together with gaffer's tape. ..that one I intend to replace today with something temporarily.

Are the hoses precut to the specific lengths? So I can just pull off the old vacuum hose and replace it with the corresponding hose techniques one?

I'm talking about for measuring length. How In then hell would you know which hose went where if you pulled them all off and made cut lengths of new ones, then you turn around and are installing them when you realized you just F*cked up and have to guess and check for the next hour ;). does the TSRM tell the length of each hose? Didn't think so ;).

I bought that and its really nice. All my hoses looked fine but after I replaced them all I gain 5 in of vacuum, so apparently I had a leak I didnt know about.

I did replace all of my hoses many years ago - 97/98 I believe. I'll be doing it again this summer just for good measure - I've put ~100,000 miles on those hoses and they are now dried out.

When I did it before I just called up my local parts guy and asked for every (non-vacuum) hose under the hood. A few weeks later I picked up a nice box of hoses.

On the vacuum lines you get a long length and cut the hose to fit. All the pretty colors...

I hope they were at least going to give you a mint with that F***job. DAYUMN! You had to have something else in that order to bump the price up a whole thousand dollars.

That sounds like some major ass rapage there... Shouldn't a Hose Techniques kit last longer than the stock rubber hoses anyways? And how much do they cost? Like a whole 80.00 bucks shipped?

Yes, the HT kit will last longer than the stock rubber hoses. The problem is you can't use the HT kit for many of the hoses in the engine bay.
