Well, being in the industry and a former employee of HPF, I can say it's difficult for every order to be 100%, in stock, ship on time, correct part shipped, etc. A lot of the time HPF processes the order, payment, verify product availability and sends a purchase order for product shipment. After that point it's in someone else's hands, and is difficult for HPF, or any company to control what happens after that point. These things happen to all companies, be it MVP, Titan, Suprastore, SP Engineering, etc. Also, HPF has over 70,000 parts online, which makes it extremely difficult to keep every single part in stock and/or readily available from a warehouse or even the manufacturer. One thing that makes it difficult is when HPF's vendors and manufacturers lie when they just don't know when a part will be available, or inventory is off and is not verified, which is relayed to the customer.
I also read someone saying that Supras are a small portion of HPF's sales, which is correct. Maybe 2-3 years ago when pretty much 90% of the online parts were supra parts, it was, but now it's grown into a well diversified parts distributor selling parts for imports and domestics, and carry more manufacturers than many, if not all, other performance parts distributors.
Me, I've always been a car enthusiast, so I enjoyed spending time on the phone with fellow MK3 supra owners, just chit-chatting or helping to solve a problem--even though the management didn't like it if I wasn't selling something. Oh yah, and I wasn't commission based, so that's not why I spent all that time trying to help out. Even before HPF, I would spend a lot of my personal time to do what I could to help out, and have made quite a few friends in the supra community, and i think becoming a member of HPF helped me reach a lot more people. So far, to me, It looks like jeff is doing a very good job. Good luck to you Jeff.
Thanks,
