Thats great to know since i ordered a head gasket from them two days ago. Money order shouldve been there today. I was expecting it some time in the beginning of next week, so lets see what happens now. Even though jeff was pretty helpfull on the phone and all, i hope i don't get let down because I need to get my car back together

Think thats bad? I ordered a megan racing large intercooler from 935motorsports at the beginning of this month. I emailed him the same day before I placed my order ensuring the intercooler was in stock and would ship right away -- it still has not shipped. Or at least he hasn't told me, because he has several times now responded to my emails saying its "shipping xxx day". Needless to say, this kind of behavior isn't very good for his rep and I'll gladly make sure people know about it.

HFP sucks a nutsack!!!!!! although their costomer service is very good. my expiriance with them:
i tryed to order a hg from them, everything is hunkey-dorey untill they tell me they dont carry that hg anymore. fine, whatever give me anotherone. then about a month later i get the boxes in. then i look at the timing belt they sent me and wow it's about a foot longer than the one i pulled out of my car. turns out its an mr2 timing belt. when i call to complain they tell me that they wont pay to ship the mr2 belt back to them because i technically ordered it and its not their fault. BS! on my recipt it says "supra timing belt".
my good friends expiriance with them(he has a fc rx-7):
he ordered a set of tanabe gf210's about a month before i ordered all my stuff. they tell him they are on backorder for about 6 weeks. then they tell him that they were shipped out yesterday and a tracking # is on the way. then when my friend calls for the tracking # they tell him that in fact his springs never left japan. this continued for 6 months! he got his springs about 2 months ago, after i had finished my hg job. in brief, i'm never ordering from HPF again. even if their costomer service is good.

I don't think he has anything in stock, he is a middle man performance shop :evil2:

Then he shouldn't be lieing about it. I just received an email from him that the intercooler has shipped with a tracking number, though fedex does not claim to have record of it yet. Here's a fun log:

05/02/2005 Pending
05/13/2005 Ready To Ship shipping Monday
05/26/2005 Ready To Ship intercooler shipped fedex ground xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

flange will ship from another vendor

Not to mention the numerous emails I have saved. At least be honest really, I wouldn't care as much if he just told the truth right off the bat, but this beating around the bush shit is ridiculous.

Guys i ordered a headgasket and ARP's from Titan in Orlando on Tuesday, Jack called back and said he made a mistake the HG bolts are out of stock, but they have the studs on the shelf, gave me 5 bucks off, and i got my HG and Stud kit this morning. I was going to order my brake lines from HPF but now i am definately doing them from Titan.

I overall like HPF and have had good luck with them. Their prices are fair. Website transactions are a bit shakey but they have worked on that. They call me at home to ask if I wanted to wait for "out of stock" items I ordered that take a bit longer to receive or go with another product. That is above and beyond any other online store I've dealt with. I have noticed that they do not keep a lot of higher priced items in inventory so waiting is becoming somewhat routine.

I give them thumbs "UP"

godamn you guys have been waiting what, 2-3 days??? give it a little more time. Courier services are fast, but they aren't superman fast. Also how is it their problem if the courier service is the one delivering it. HPF did their job and sent out your item.

you guys need to chill out.

This was legitimately my fault, and as I told Joe in my email before seeing this thread, I feel terrible about it. For the rest of you here's the story:

Joe (Lagged) calls Monday mid-afternoon, needs a head gasket ASAP (who doesn't ;)). I get his contact info then call all the warehouses that sometimes stock them until I find one with it in stock (normally these head gaskets are made to order with a 2-week average lead time). I call him back, let him know the options, and we decide on expedited shipping. I write the order up, make a note on the invoice about which warehouse has the gasket in stock but on the invoice I forget to change the shipping warehouse from the default. :icon_redf The shipping department usually catches stuff like this, but this one slips through and the PO gets sent to a warehouse with a 2-week lead time. At this point, I assumed the MHG shipped out Monday night if we're lucky, or Tuesday morning otherwise. The tracking number is automatically emailed within a day of shipment so I think everything's hunky-dory.

Today, Joe calls and speaks with someone else (not me) and it isn't until I notice a cancel pop up that I realize what happened (at which point I immediately emailed him explaining what happened and appologized profusely).

Cliff Notes: I dropped the ball on this order, and am very sorry. I will add reminders to Microsoft outlook to check up on outgoing orders to thwart mistakes like this from causing any customer any unnecessary delay.

Jonathon, I wasn't aware of an issue with your clutch line. I spoke with the tech making the line (they are made to order) on the phone personally between our phone calls Monday and he assured me he would have time to make it and get it out Monday night. I'll look into this matter first thing tomorrow am.

If anyone wishes to contact me, I respond fairly quickly to emails jeff@horsepowerfreaks.com, and am almost always on AIM ("HPF jeff" during the day, "ma71supraturbo" @ night). My direct line is also listed in the signature. So feel free to contact me directly if you're the slightest bit curious about the status of your order or anything else.

i have never had any problems with horsepowerfreaks. my clutch, pressure plate, and flywheel came in, in the time frame they told me. right now i am waiting on a set of forged pistons .040 over, arp rod bolts, and arp main stud kit from aap motorsports. it has been a little over 7 weeks. and i know that all the family stuff happened with mike and that is fine, but when i don't get calls to tell me that the company sent the wrong parts twice and that they had head studs with my oreder instead of the main stud kit that pisses me off. i had to call them and ask what happened to the phone call to let you know what is going on with your parts especially when the order was expected to take 2 weeks.

HPF rocks IMO. Sorry to hear your plight, but commendable that Jeff stepped up and took accountability for the mistake. Glad to hear it :drink1:
