Make no mistake...people with these kind of credentials are very smart.

Common sense...a whole different story.

Sometimes being very intelligent gets in the way of seeing things as they really are...preconceived thoughts, ideas or ideology cloud the true picture. Then there's the agenda of the person in a leadership role that will influence their actions as well. Seen this all many, many times.

Nick, you tried just little too hard. You answered questions noebody asked.
For one i agree with Just Another Victim and jdub, although i dont think the agree with my politics. A degree doesnt make you idiot proof.
However, being without a degree doesnt give one common sense either.
You do have one point though, the stats for those who are intellegent favor the educated.
I dont remember Anyone in hollywood stating that they were more educated that Bush. Saying hes not an intellectual is an entirely different argument. In addition, simply running down the list of people in hollywood who dont like bush and showing us that their background isnt information. of course hollywood would have plenty of those who have formal educations in acting. I'm not even sure you actual did legit research. Even if you did, telling us a singer, went to a performing art academy or college isnt really breaking news. At any rate, I dont think my quote you sited or much of what was in this thread said that everyone in his administration was stupid. Nor did we say that ther were not uneducated. When people talk about stupid, make no mistake they are talking about George Bush Jr. being a moron, and idiot, stupid etc. His stupidity doesnt make colon powell or dick chenney dumb. I would be the first to say that Karl Rove is a genius, at face value of course. Colon Powel was the most practical and had the most common sense of the minion in the bush admin. Powell i consider to be very smart, very savvy, very knowledgeable.

Nor do i consider anyone in hollywood to be braniacs. Nobody here said that either. That doesnt make Bushs policies by default effective. That in turn doesnt make bush smart, doesnt make the war in iraq well thought out. It simply doesnt. Logically or otherwise. It shows how far you will crawl to drag out that actors have degrees in acting and then put out everyone on the bush admin and use that to defend his own intellelect.
Its not fair to his staff. He admits that he surround shimself with bright people and that he delegates..why is that, becasue he cannot do the deep thinking to get each task done. It intellectually lazy to delegate to the degree bush claims. Accord to him, he's simply the "decider" (is that even a word?). Other politician, in the white house or otherwise dont embarass themselves or this country like he does when he opens his mouth. Even his wife thought the "bring em on" was a stupid think to say. It was strategically stupid. It was insensitve. It was not well thought out.
Again, non bush supporters are not claiming this admin is stupid, just that bush is. We are saying that based on policy and success, that the admin is highly incompitent.
Try Again.

I agree with what jdub said, however it is more likely that being very unintelligent gets in the way for seeing things as they really are. The dumb in this country often have reconceived thoughts, ideas and ideology that when combine with what is often a lack of understanding of the world or the rest of the us, for that matter, cloud the true picture. And yes then there's the agenda of the person in a leadership role that will influence their actions as well. The undeducated are often much easier to influence. As we have seen in elections in the more recent history, we have indeed seen this many times.
