oh yeah, is there a way to test the bov?

Its actually not. Since you run a k&n and dont have the pre bov filter that it comes with its likely that its clogged with dirt. Can you feel air coming out of it all?

The hks is the only bov that you sometimes need to do that with also.

actually when i throttle it from the engine bay, it doesnt even move lol. but i also have to stand at an really odd angle to look at the bov while pressing the throttle linkage lol

Ya you can do that. Or could just try shooting some wd through both holes.

Also if no air is coming out then any flutter is compressor surge.

No idea on that. When the bov doesnt open the air back feeds into the turbo giving you the flutter sound. Can kill your turbo and quick, but not always. Bov doesnt add hp either.

Is your turbo still spooling when you drive? It may be possible you blew the turbo or the seals went out and that's why you can't hear an audible noise.

I blew a rear CT12 back in '08 and a CT26 last in '09. The CT26 was in bad condition before it was even put in the car, but it soon as it popped I couldn't hear anything from my HKS.

You might want to also test for boost leak to make sure you intercooler piping isn't compromised.

I can't view any pictures so I missed the previous one... Are you running an HKS? Was your turbo fluttering from your BOV?

Im having the exact same problem. Only when i drive it hard enough ill hear the PSHH. sometimes it doesn't do it at all. At first when i had the vacuum filter i worked fine & it opened easily while pulling the throttle cable. But now the pre filter was toast since the heat melted it into a 90 degree shape so i removed it. & for some reason i have oil in the hard tube from the vacuum source. so spraying WD40 into the hole of the vacuum source in the BOV will help?

Oh & yes the stock vacuum source has good vacuum
