Hesitation when cold

Its not a very big deal, but it still bugs me.. cause if i ever need the power to avoid a collision or whatever when the engines cold, i would probably get hit.. N/A btw

But anyhow, I noticed it ran like crap when i was super pissed off and i hopped in my car and got on the gas real quick and it just stutters. I would shift, get back on the gas, it would stutter for 3 or 4 seconds and then run good. Once the car warms up the symptoms are completely gone. I figured it was timing, but i replaced the distributer seal (leaky) and threw a timing light on it and i didnt even have to move the distributer (musta been lucky) and it was perfect at 10 degrees. Is it a problem if there is no change in timing between having the TE1 and E1 connectors jumpered and unjumpered?

Also there is a slight crack in the 60 degree or so bend before the intake tube goes onto the throttle body. I know with the AFM this should cause a rich condition, but I dont see any black smoke or anything out the tailpipe..

My gte does the same thing. I'll sit and let it idle a bit before pulling out of my driveway but once I pull out on to the main street it seems to be holding back. It didn't surprise me though. For not being at operating temp I don't expect it to perform like it was warmed up. Once the temp gauge starts rising even a little it runs much smoother.

Yes this indicates an issue. Timing can not be set correctly when this happens. Check your TPS. You should have code 51 also.

Un-metered air leaks cause an NA to run lean. Fix it.

I thought i remember reading somewhere in the TSRM that on N/As the timing shouldnt change with them jumped or not. idk. Also no codes stored

I kind of have a temporary fix on the intake tube with some high tech JDM duct tape...

Im working on getting a replacement. Parts dont appear out of thin air.

And yes. It still stutters. Not that me being mad has anything to do with it.
