One thing to consider after polising aluminum: Zoop Seal! It's a little on the pricey side ($130ish), but once you seal it with ZoopSeal, no need to polish your parts again for years. The company says 3-4 years, but talking to others that have used it, it's more like 8-10 years.

looking great. important thing is just take your time, dont rush anything. i like taking metal files to my parts more than a bench grinder, just feels better. dunno why i like doing stuff by hand more than power tools but seems to come out nice.

cept you picked an easy part :p

now go do a manifold ;) hehe

here's my manifold at the mo, still need to do the final polish with the proper stuff
and is there an alternative to zoop seal? $99 is kinda out of my price range for getting out once a month and givin it a quick once over hehe

Suz,
From my searching, ZoopSeal is about the only logical choice. I'm getting ready to use it, I'll let you know how hard/easy it is to use

:icon_bigg lol i did. You probably dont remember my setup but i had somethings polished up pretty well. From Smooth out valve covers, 3000 pipe, Intake manifold. When I get my Ron R manifold in I will polish it as well. I also polished my turbo too as you have too suze. Pics of it is in my build thread.

Word of advice, If you're going with a short runner, do as much polishing on the runners as you can before sending to Ron. They're much easier to do before he welds the plate on to them.

I finished my polishing. All I have left to do is coat all the pieces with zoopseal. I found a polish that is loads better than Mothers. A lot better.

LOL, yes. I have about 30 hours in polishing already. There are a few parts that aren't shown.

Thanks Ian! I'm going to unseat Duane from the 'cleanest MKIII' throne. :biglaugh:
