i'm getting a tms 2mm head gasket because i bought a block that was acid dipped, bored .20 over with je 8.4:1's and forged eagles with a balanced crank. The block was decked when i bought it and it is flat but there is a bit of black left on it from the gasket being on there, but it doesn't raise up(like i cant feel it with my fingernail and it is level. I told the machinist about it who did it initally and who's also doing my head i told him the specs and he is taking care of it, but i just want to be sure that the block will be ok and seal correctly, please help!:1zhelp:

The water jacket ports on the stock head gasket leave a large area around the coolant ports on the block surface. It usually corrodes here, and decking the block doesn't always clean it up completely. It shouldn't matter though, since it is not in an area that seals anything. Mine was like this.

im doing a bhg on my 7mgte right now. my block was cleaned very well and there was still some black on the block which is normal as long as it is clean and level . and if you say yours is level and you cant feel it with your fingernail just put it on there. and i recomend arp head studs for putting it back together.

Ignore the pan.
Focus on the oil feed line from the pump, removing the stock oil cooler and replacing with a full flow oil cooler.

All the oil squirters are good for is just cooling down the pistons for HIGH HP applications. I don't have any squirters in my 7m, but I'm still stock and just shooting for maybe ~500rwhp ~600rwtq.

Oil Squirters = cooler pistons

i'm looking for a MAXIMUM 600 to the wheels, but i'm shooting for a 450-525 on a 57.trim ct26 full time, hoping that i won't have to go too far past 15-18 psi
