So the knock sensors will cause this much havoc? Ive had them go bad on LS1 cars and never cause this much trouble. Maybe these cars ar different. Ill have to figure out how to get the back sensor out by the starter.

When the head was off I had the #1 piston TDC and the crank at 0. Got everything put together and its out 180* out. I dont understand that.

Is your LS1 boosted? No, I didnt think so... lol

Knock sensors are a lot more important on a boosted car where you have a/f ratios, and detonation to worry about, so knock comes into play a loooot more.

there will not be a "there" once you fix the knock sensors the car will boost like normal.

and for the record are your KS BROKEN? as in the plug part itself is wobbly or broken off? if they arent physically broken i would look more into your wiring then the actual knock sensor.

I sure hope so...

No the sensors arent broken, Ive got the instructions for the rewire mod so Im going to start that this afternoon. Im pretty sure its the wiring its all hacked up from the previous owner.

I have one question about the rewire. Should I or should I not ground both ends? Ive read both have advantages and disadvantages.

If you've check it, and it's fine, then you're OK. However, common procedure is:

You need to drive it about 1000 miles and get some good heat cycles in there, and do a re-torque since you are using a composite gasket. The studs don't move, but the gasket will compress.

Don't be lazy, I would check it anyhow... I checked mine 3 times.

Shouldn't, just don't go too far away, like inside your car or something. Try to keep it as close as possible the the wastegate, like mounted on the passenger side strut tower....

Yes, just make damn sure the new tee line is no where near any hot sources that can/will melt it in half. If that happens, you're in a world of hurt if you don't catch it soon.
