I don't mean to rip on the guy.. or MKII's... but I wouldn't think it would be worth near that much. I mean I suppose clean MKII's are going up in value but it is a damn near stock and its auto. I just don't see the price being justified personally.

*PS* Don't get me wrong I love MKII's with 7M's... I had a MKII and I plan on doing a 7M or 1JZ MKII someday.

Now, as soon as you see a Regulus MKII for that price I'll think its justified :). But for that, I'm almost positive I'll have to import one.

#1. it's a hardtop car, rare and well sought after
#2 the car itself is in great condition... bodywise, paint, interior, wheels, etc.
#3 it has a 7MGTE in it, done RIGHT. NO wiring hackjob no BS, just a clean swap. It's nowhere near "damn stock", the engine in itself makes the car not stock, whether it's been upgraded or not. And didn't anyone ever tell ya? Auto is good for building boost and smacking down kidiots while drinking a cup of coffee :sarcasm:

Troof.

I have gotten 4 freebie mk2s, including a hardtop L-type. Sadly that car didn't run and I couldn't get it to or I would have flipped it for a decent profit. I've never spent more than $1,000 buying the other 5 Supras, but then they were all high mileage rusty POS'.

...but you can bet your ass if I was to turn around and sell my car with all I just got done doing to it, even though the body/paint/interior isn't perfect, I would not sell for less than $3,500.

That one is beautiful, and the price is right where it should be, IMO. After seeing some of the beat to shit MkII's around town here, you really appreciate a nice one. (Although we have a couple of those, too.) Plus its 7M powered!

hardtop isn't FTL when someone wants that extra 2" headroom or wanting to flog the car in the twisties, having extra stability over a sunroof car.

auto isn't FTL for lazy people or building boost off the line ;)

That car is exactly what it should be. As a 7m Mk2 owner, I've gone through the entire song and dance from bone stock, to max out CT26 w/ supporting mods, to T61, then R154, etc.. These cars are probably best with the stock turbo.

With that setup, the a340 isn't stressed much, it will pass emissions, it's quiet, can sip coffee while underboost, and it should still run high 13s or 14s. Don and Shawn have done nearly a dozen of these swaps. When done, the cars are virutally the same as how Toyota would have done it.

I used to hate autos too. Then I bought a maroon 90 auto and upgraded it with a 57CT. Talk about a fun car. That Mk2 should be roughly as fast while being factory correct.
